[The entrance hall to the mansion is certainly glorious, but what it isn't is the throne room of Canterlot- which is where Sunburst absolutely just was. As such, there's a cloaked, bespectacled little unicorn wandering around, looking about himself in confusion. He's pretty tired, he's just been on an epic adventure- this is probably some strange hallucination brought on by too much magic-strain or something. That makes sense. That makes absolute sense.

And then he finds his device- which is absolutely alien to him. What in the hay IS it??? The device is suddenly surrounded in a sparkly, yellow glow- an action which turns it on- as Sunburst levitates it closer to his face, squinting at it. He talks to the screen, though he doesn't realise it- he's largely speaking out loud, trying to understand what's going on.]

I've never seen an artefact like this before. I'm not convinced I could dream this up along with...whatever this place is. Perhaps there was a magical feedback loop from the portal? Though it would have to be on a delay for it to start happening now. Hnnh, I hope the effects don't last long, I have a lot of new research to compile. I guess I need to wait for it to wear off. Talk about inconvenient. I wonder if any of the others are suffering side effects?

So I assume it works on some sort of infinity loop? To be able to house an endless amount of residents? Otherwise it would have to fill up at some point.

So, what you're connected to now is the Network, which will allow you to send text messages (which are kind of like letters), audio messages, and if you wanna show your face to everyone... Video messages!

That's easy, I'm using telekinesis. All unicorns can do that.

Oh really? You're the first unicorn that's come to Wonderland in a while. We usually get humans and human-like creatures.

That would explain all the general confusion at my existence.

...That said, have you had unicorns before? Do you know any of their names?

I dunno! I kind of forget people when they're not actually here. Keeps the contacts page tidy.

You could ask some folks who have been here for a while, but we usually have to clear everything out when people leave for good.

Keeps the mansion open for new guests.

That's a little sad...that there's nothing left of them when they go. Do others at least remember they've been here? It sounds that way, but I'd hate to assume.

Not in their worlds, no.

[At least that's what the journals and stuff says.]

But sometimes they come right back and regain all the memories from Wonderland! So it's not a total loss.

But surely people here would know you left, and tell you as much? You'd still know you got out. The not remembering part makes it worse.
