004 - video;
So multiple people have been finding riddles in those weird boxes, right?
[ Someone apparently has never seen an advent calendar before in their lives.. That's what happens when you're raised so sheltered, apparently. That's besides the point though - Ange's idly playing with a piece of paper of paper in her hands, presumably the paper the riddle she's talking about was written on. ]
I thought maybe there'd be some sort of clue or secret message, but it seems like they're really just standard riddles. I mean, tell me if you've heard this one before.
"A murderer was condemned to death. He has to choose from one of three rooms: 1) A room full of raging fires, 2) A room full of assassins with loaded guns, 3) A room with lions that hadn’t eaten in years. Which room is safest?"
Isn't that one super old? They could've at least picked a more interesting one.

Ange, though, is wholly unaffected by the answer. ]
I think they were probably sparing me the repeat. I've already done the second option. It's not the good one.

[ You know. Except more gorey. ]
And here I thought I escaped school.

[To be fair, Lapis is probably older than that riddle and would still never figure it out, nor does she care to. As always, everything is so humancentric.]

[ And it's a long, long list, considering how easily things can seem ridiculous to Ange or annoy her. ]
Are they really that weird to you? It's really just thinking exercises when it comes down to it.

[Rather than try to read it out loud, he takes a picture of it with his device and sends her that.]
no subject
That's.. strange. [ Moreso than her riddle, considering she actually recognized that one. ] Do you think it's trying to say something or if it's just random nonsense?
no subject
[Maybe. He really has no way of knowing.]

[Ryoko's not really sure on this one, but she thinks she's right.]
Because if they haven't eaten in ten years, they'd be dead, wouldn't they?
no subject
[ It's slightly surprising to see Ryoko get it so easily. So despite the whole problem with her memories, she at least isn't stupid, huh. ]
no subject
[She's happy about that at least. And nope, not stupid. Sometimes a little airheaded, but she's got a working brain in there somewhere!]
But why would Wonderland give you something like that?
[She'll check her notes really quick before continuing.]
There hasn't been anything like that in mine. Some tea, a camera, a weird jar, but nothing like that.
no subject
[ Judging by how she saw Dipper getting different stuff than her in his video from the day before.. ]
Although I have no idea how it's decided who gets what. It sounds as if the things you got weren't very personal either, and the same goes for mine except for the photo I got on the first day.
no subject
[Probably has nothing to do with Ryoko but she still feels the need to ask.]

I mean. Yeah, we get it, people forget things here, thanks for the update!
[Amethyst folds her arms and rolls her eyes, blowing a strand of hair away from her face. It immediately falls back where it was, of course.]

They're usually not particularly subtle, huh.
[ If it's not monsters-literally-coming-to-eat-them unsubtle, then it's unsubtle-reminders unsubtle. ]
At least if you keep finding food, maybe you'll be able to have your own personal banquet by Christmas.
[He holds up a caricature of himself. It's not too bad!]
I haven't heard that one before. Is it a trick and you're supposed to jump out the window or something?
no subject
No. There's a trick to it, but it doesn't involve anything that isn't stated in the riddle itself.
