[And with that posted to the network, Kirigiri is going around distributing copies of the database. Feel free to tag her with requests for a copy, with characters receiving their copies, or just as she wanders around the Mansion finding people. If your character requested a copy but you don't tag this post, no worries! Just assume she left the flash drive wherever your character told her to.]

[OOC: The database is based on Kirigiri's notes, which are available here. ~~I haven't updated it to add any information from the recent event yet (I'll be working on that this weekend), but it is all technically included in the copy she's distributing ICly.~~ Never mind, it should be up to date now.]

[ All Chihiro can do is smile brightly, practically glowing. To do something that was enough to impress Kirigiri, by utilizing her talents and facing her fears - it was a dream come true. She takes some time to simply bask in this feeling for a moment. ]

[Kirigiri doesn't interrupt her. She gets up for a moment, and comes back with tea for both of them.]

[ The soft click of a teacup against the table snaps her back to reality. ]

...Eh? Oh! Oh, thank you, Kirigiri-san!

[ She takes a sip of the tea, with a pensive look beginning to appear on her face. ]

So... I was caught in the mirror world during the event...

That means my mirror self was here, right...?

[Kirigiri still has bitemarks on her arm, though they're mostly healed now.]

Oh...! W-what... what is my mirror self like, if you don't mind me asking...?

Insistent about being proving hi-er strength.

[Kirigiri almost used the masculine pronoun, but catches herself without too much of a fumble. Although she knows that Chihiro is male, she doesn't want to bring it up herself. That should be Chihiro's choice. It's just a little harder to use feminine pronouns with her Mirror because of the Mirror's behavior.]

Oh.. I-I see...

[ Chihiro isn't quite sure if Kirigiri just stuttered, or if she actually did almost use "he" to describe her mirror. She was worried that her mirror self might indeed actually present as male, especially if her mirror was intent on showing everyone that they're strong - in opposition to Chihiro's own way of dealing with her weakness. If her mirror was male, then her secret was basically out at this point. ]

I... I'm really sorry if my mirror hurt you, or anyone... or c-caused trouble..

It wasn't much. Though she bit me.

[Kirigiri shows the marks on her arm.]

W-w-what? B-bit you!?

[ Chihiro gasps and covers her mouth once she sees the bite marks on Kirigiri's arm. ]

I'm so sorry, Kirigiri-san! I-I would never... bite someone...

Of course you wouldn't. You aren't a child throwing a tantrum.

Ah... s-still, I can't help but feel responsible for my mirror in some way...

I mean... my mirror and I are probably similar in more ways than we're different, right? Isn't that what it means to be a copy of someone?

I am not sure. I believe I would need to spend more time with her to really be able to answer that question.

Regardless, while she may be based on you, her actions are her own. Don't feel responsible for them.

...All right. I just can't help but worry, if my mirror has caused problems... I mean, my mirror wouldn't be here if I wasn't here, right?

If you look at it that way...I wonder why so many Mirrors seem to resent their counterparts.

C-could it be that... that they're resentful that they're not "real"? Th-that they're just copies, and can't be their own people...?

No, that makes sense. But they wouldn't be alive at all without the original.

Well... maybe being a mirror person is a hollow existence. Maybe they'd just rather not be alive at all...

[ Her heart sinks for a moment, as she remembers a few of the mirror people who had been kind to her during her stay. ]

Do you have any observations about your time on the other side that I should include in the database?

Oh! W-well...

The mirror network works more or less just like ours... but they're not normally connected in any way. Also, not all the mirrors are bad people... some of them are genuinely kind, and helpful... but... others are...

[ Her head drops a little bit - she doesn't want to dwell on her encounters with the less than savory types. ]

I do know that my mirror self is not well-liked on that side...

It's a relief to know that the idea that all Mirrors are bad is an over-generalization.

That actually makes me wonder... is there any control to how the mirror people are "flipped"...? I mean, their personality... and if they're created to serve some purpose... would the force creating them have any control over changing how those traits are expressed? To serve its own ends, I mean...

I disagree. [Kirigiri is getting out her notepad and pencil and starts scribbling notes as she speaks.] That is an interesting idea and I think it's worth investigating.

...I think it's also true that it's also not always the case that if a person is "good", their mirror will be "evil"...

I've met both the real and mirror versions of Dr. Martha Jones, and both of them were very kind to me...

[Kirigiri can't help wondering what hers is like...]
