The database is ready. I will be distributing it on individual flash drives today.

If you have not already requested a copy, but would like one, please let me know.

[And with that posted to the network, Kirigiri is going around distributing copies of the database. Feel free to tag her with requests for a copy, with characters receiving their copies, or just as she wanders around the Mansion finding people. If your character requested a copy but you don't tag this post, no worries! Just assume she left the flash drive wherever your character told her to.]

[OOC: The database is based on Kirigiri's notes, which are available here. ~~I haven't updated it to add any information from the recent event yet (I'll be working on that this weekend), but it is all technically included in the copy she's distributing ICly.~~ Never mind, it should be up to date now.]

I can't say we have. Have you been here a while?

About three months.

Do you keep a hard copy of your information?

I do. I have my own notes, as well as a copy on a flash drive of my own.

The reason I am not uploading the file to the network at large because I do not trust the network's security. It is less efficient this way, but I will be working on that in the coming weeks.

There aren't a lot of safe places for the unmonitored sharing of information. In-person helps. Getting outside helps. We should meet there instead. Is that okay?

It is. I am on the first floor now, so I will meet you at the front entrance.

[He doesn't bother replying, instead heading straight for the appointed meeting area. John's had a lot of time to think on how to avoid being monitored inside, but thus far there's been nothing to guarantee they're alone.]

[So he waits for Kirigiri outside. They're much more apt to be alone out here than inside.]

[Kirigiri comes out through the front doors after just a moment or two. She blinks in the sunlight and hesitates,, as though she's really not used to being outside, then looks around. Spotting John pretty quickly, she moves over to him.]

I am Kyouko Kirigiri. [That seems like the most polite way to begin.]

[It works for him. He offers out his hand.] John Blake. We texted back and forth. [Obviously.] Good meetin' you, Kirigiri.

[It's Kirigiri, right? If he's to take any of his international studies into account over the last couple months, his instinct says family name first.]

[Kirigiri's the family name--she gives her name Western style, because there are so many apparent Westerners here. She prefers being called Kirigiri, anyway, so that works for her.]

Likewise.

[She shakes his hand, then puts her gloved hand into her pocket and produces a USB flash drive.]

This drive contains the database.

[See? This is why Blake is less suited to roam the earth than Bruce Wayne. Bruce so would have picked up on that correctly. On the bright side, they both find themselves preferring their last name, so it's doubly so not a bust.]

[He takes the offered drive with a nod and a smile.]

Really great you're sharin' this. Find myself with somethin' to offer, be sure to return the favor. Share an' share alike, right? Good way to get people on the same page.

[Kirigiri nods.]

I wish there were a more efficient way to share it, but for now this will do.

Yeah, definitely does. [He smiles and it's a little easier than usual.] Any particular reason you're keepin' track? Makin' plans?

Investigating comes naturally to me. I take notes about what happens here, and this became a logical extension of that undertaking.

Can appreciate that. [A kindred spirit, at least on some level.]

[And now a subject shift.] Listen, since we made it out here, thought I'd mention there's a lotta like-minded individuals 'round. Lotta people keepin' notes. Makin' plans.

Yes, I've noticed that. It may be useful to have so many people recording observations.

Yeah, most definitely. There's a coupla people, myself included, makin' plans to get information and get outta here. Or at least learn 'bout the other side. Mind if I share this info? Be welcome to present it if you're interested...

You can share it as you see fit. There are already a number of people with copies. However, updates versions will only be available from me for the time being, so let them know to contact me if you create copies for anyone.

Sure that won't be a problem. [Really, most of the people John would share with have probably already requested a copy of their own, so they likely got the same speech.] Mind me askin' what you did back home that's prepared you for this?

[Kirigiri gets an odd, confused frown and runs gloved fingers through her hair.]

I...am not sure. I think I was an adept student....?

[Huh.]

[Blake nods and looks at the flash drive she provided. He can't quite tell if she doesn't remember exactly, or if that's all there is to the answer. He decides to play it safe.]

'Preciate it, anyway. Gonna be a big help.

[Kirigiri's odd expression clears easily enough and she nods.]

I hope so. Please let me know if there's anything I should add or anything that is incorrect.

[He tips his head to her.] Will do. [And then he'll head off to check out those notes (and likely add them to his own).]
