[The whole broadcast is accompanied by the clank of metal and a sound like cracking, shifting ice. Elsa is clearly pacing around her room.]

Someone, please--something has happened to me, I-I don't...I'm in some kind of metal, like, like armor. It's a curse...some kind of curse, it has to be.

[Her voice gets markedly more frantic.] And Anna! I keep seeing Anna in that--I don't know what it is. The black box. She's alone, she's in danger, and I can't reach her! I have to help her. My sister...

[She's silent for a moment, taking time to metaphorically breathe and calm herself down.]

Someone--please tell me what is going on.

Just a bit. You learn to appreciate when we're between events because then it's quiet and no one's being traumatized.

Heh...I suppose I haven't had much chance to enjoy the quiet yet. Not even a week here, and something like this happens...

Could be worse. You could have arrived during and have had no warning whatsoever that weird stuff happens.

Yeah. A kid arrived while a dangerous one was going on so she had no idea what was happening. Just that she went from being safely at home to stuff trying to kill her.

That's awful! The poor thing...

I haven't seen or heard from her since then, so I think she's one of the ones that got sent home within a week.

That's good. I can't imagine children having to deal with this place...

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not entirely certain I've actually told Gabriel my own name. Although being an angel, he probably doesn't actually need me to actually say anything.

The angel Gabriel is here? Just how many angels are there in Wonderland?

Well, Michael showed up something like a couple of months ago and Castiel's on his second go-round and doesn't remember the previous time. Those are the ones I know about still here for certain.

[Thinly,] Michael...and Gabriel? This place has the power to trap beings like that...?

Yeah. Michael was a bit cranky, but I think Gabriel was mostly just glad to be alive. And flippant.

...They're extremely religious figure where I'm from. It's so strange to hear about them as if they're just...human.

Mmm. Christianity isn't a religion in my world, so I don't have the ingrained 'these are way important people' that people from Earth tend to have.

Which I think makes it easier to deal with them, because then I'm not overly awed enough to end up babbling like an idiot, you know? So I manage to treat them more or less like any other person although obviously with a bit more care since they can swat me like a fly.

No Christianity...? [That's...well, Elsa isn't the most religious person in the world, but it is a little unsettling.] But what about God? Surely God exists in your world.

Why does He have to? My world isn't Earth. And I think that if He did, I would have heard of him before ending up on Earth.

No, but...God created everything. Wouldn't He have created all worlds, not just mine?

One thing I've noticed is that religious debates tend not to end well. Even between differing branches of the same religion, much less between someone that believes and an atheist.

::Although now that he's had angels thrown at him, he's more or less switched to being agnostic, as there was evidence in the form of said angels that at least one god was real.::

Oh. I see...

[It's just a hard concept to wrap her head around. When you've been raised Christian and surrounded by Christians in a mostly Christian country it's just difficult to understand atheist viewpoints. Even more so when the only other culture you've been exposed to also believes in its own gods, to a point.]

Forgive my questions. It's just all very curious to me. I won't ask anything else if that's what you prefer.

I've noticed that the things that tend to cause fights are discussions about religion or politics.

There's been plenty of times when I'd end up in the middle of brawls at the local Hofbräuhaus because a couple of drunk idiots decided to start arguing about one of the two, someone throws a punch and the whole thing erupts.
