[ Well, well. Something clearly isn't right here. Though he's young--about fourteen--and doesn't remember Wonderland, Sam is still a hunter. Won't advertise it, but is smart enough to be wary, and peers into the device with a youthful, but suspicious glance. ]

Hey. Not cool. [ He huffs shortly, seemingly unconcerned that he's been kidnapped. ] Usually, I think people make demands when they've got hostages. Right? And I haven't heard anything yet.

[ Sam peers into the little camera, unused to the technology of a network like this, but also very smart. ]

If there's something you want to say? Say it. I'm not gonna stick around here long.

[A face of a girl that's also about fourteen pops up on screen, and while she looks a little afraid she tries to manage a smile and a cautious wave.]

I've never been kidnapped before.

[She bites at her pinky nail, looking more and more worried by the second.]

Are we supposed to wait for someone to make demands and give us back to our parents?

[ Sam smiles back; he's had to be strong for other kids before, to help them out countless times, and this'll just be one of them. ]

Won't last for long. I promise.

[ He means it; he has every intention of getting them all out. ]

Usually they show their ugly faces by now. It's... pretty weird that they haven't.

You've been kidnapped before?

[She seems intrigued by the idea, and smiles in near excitement at actually getting to talk to someone that's been kidnapped. But then she thinks maybe he hasn't, and the smile goes away, replaced with something a little more serious.]

Or have you just seen it on the telly? Suppose it doesn't really matter, not when we've got to work together to find a way back home. Only...

[She hesitates, frowning deeply.]

If we do find a way out, it doesn't sound like your home is the same place as mine. You sound like you're from America.

Mm, yeah, once or twice. [ He smiles faintly, much like his older counterpart. Sam isn't afraid of being kidnapped, he's afraid of not being able to help the people who need it. ]

We can get you back home. I'm from the States, yeah, but you're not too far away. That's what planes're for, right?

AHA!

[The excited exclamation is heard a few seconds before a small face appears on the screen. She doesn't look happy, necessarily, but definitely pleased.]

Somebody said I was here but was bigger or something dumb and I knew they was lying!

[And then reality reasserts itself and the little girl freezes before her expression falls into a worried, slightly fearful one.]

But what if nobody finds us? What if... [she pauses, sniffles quickly, then tries to put on her brave face - but mostly looks hopefully at Sam] Can I go with you when you find a way to get out?

Bigger? [ Sam frowns, a miniature of his usual, concerned expression. ] ... That doesn't make sense.

[ "Bigger or something dumb." What did that even mean? Sam just smiles, though, forever trying to be a comfort for others. ]

We don't need anybody to find us. I'm gonna get us out of here.

[ And if he can't, Dean or his dad would show. Either way. ]

Yeah, of course. What's your name?

[Okay, she looks a little least fearful now. She even tries for a small, if somewhat watery, smile.]

I'm Krissy. What's yours? [She barely pauses before offering up her own version of 'helping'.] And if we don't go soon, my daddy'll find us. [A decisive nod.] And I know me being bigger doesn't make any sense. People grow up, not down.

[She frowns thoughtfully. Worriedly.]

Only, I do have some stuff I don't think I'm 'lowed to have. [Like guns. She's not really supposed to use those. She's learning, but she's not far enough along to have her own that she carries with her yet. She tries to reassure herself as best she can.] But that don't mean what they said is really real. I could've got that stuff any place.

Sam. It's gonna be okay, Krissy. [ He keeps up the brave face, the reasurring smile; honestly, he isn't worried about the situation yet. Nervous for these kids, mad at their captors, but definitely composed. ]

Your dad? Would he know where we were? [ The way she says it reminds him of... well, the way he said it, which had been with the implication that there was a hunter in the family. Krissy might or might not know about it, but Sam isn't going to press for that info unless she brings it up. ]

[It's possible Castiel wouldn't have been able to recognize Sam, but the fact is that Heaven kept an eye on the Winchesters from the very beginning. And even if that hadn't been the case, he's seen photographs of Sam and Dean when they were younger, so the teenage boy doing his best to be brave stands out like a sore thumb.

It seems that Sam's forgotten just about everything, which means that Castiel needs to be careful. Flying in to see him face-to-face won't start them off on a good note, and so he sends a message instead.]

Our captors seem content to stay silent and let us rot here, unfortunately. Are you all right?

[ Sam eyes the weird man in the overcoat, but doesn't question him. Right now, he's suspicious of pretty much everyone. ]

Yeah. I'm just worried about the other kids. [ Beat. ] Who're you?

How many others have you seen? [If too many have decided to explore that playground, it's going to be problematic. Sam may be able to keep his composure despite his age, but that wouldn't be the case for others.]

My name is Castiel. I've been a prisoner of this place for about half a year. [And for the moment, he's going to need to be Sam's guardian angel more than ever.]

A few. [ Nonspecific. Sorry, Cas, he isn't sure he can trust you. Especially with a name like that; you sound like a religious nut. ]

You've been here that long? So, you've gotta know something.

[ Oh Sam, she would recognize you anywhere. Ruby is, decidedly, looking every bit like herself, but she's finding this to be terribly amusing. ]

Look at you, taking on the man.

It's nothing new. [ He huffs lightly. ] D'you know what's going on?

Yeah, right. [ He knows that book, and this doesn't seem anything like that. Anyway, that'd be impossible, as far as he knows. ] 'Course I am.

[ dean would recognize that face anywhere, aged up or down or left or right-- he knows sam, even now. but it's a shock to see his brother like this nonetheless, such a blast from the freaking past, and it has him scrambling for his phone immediately. ]

Sam? Hey-- Sammy, it's me.

[ the words are coming from an entirely different voice and much softer face than his brother might remember. but dean has to try this all the same, even if it's clear that sam doesn't remember this place. ]

It's me, Dean.

[ Sam almost reacts with an automatic "Dean!", one of great relief, but he doesn't. Because no matter how familiar the tone, the facial expressions, this... isn't Dean.

Because it's a girl. ]

... Yeah, right. I've got a brother, not a sister. [ He eyes "Dean" from other the video. ] Nice try.

No, listen-- [ but it starts off too harsh, too hurried. he needs sam to understand but then, when he's sporting a curvier figure and breasts-- yeah, this will take patience and time.

...which are both things dean's not very good at, but for sam he'll try. so, a calming breath and he starts again. ]

You're right, y'know. But, uh, I've been-- cursed. [ that sounds about right! ]

And right now I need you to believe me 'cause if you don't? I might stay like this.

Our captors seem like the silent type, unless there's something crazy about to happen.

[ He seems vaguely familiar, but Charlie's not going to jump to conclusions just yet. The mansion seems to have pulled a number on everyone. ]

They might just not know what they want yet. Or they're dealing with other stuff first.

[ Sam considers her, wondering who exactly he can trust in this place. ]

Uh-huh. Never seen this place before.

Maybe! Sometimes I think they just like messing with us. That's usually the MO of silent, evil overlords, right?

[ She gives him a half smile. ]

What's your name? I'm Charlie.

[The woman gives off the impression of being intelligent and English (in fact the Londoner's accent backs up that second part), but she seems just as befuddled as everyone else.]

Unfortunately, my dear boy, those who pluck us from our homes seem quite content to merely detain us.

Yeah, seems like some people've been here a long time. But, there's gotta be a way out. And I'll find it one way or another.
