[Tohru is broadcasting from the diner. It's all set up very deliberately, as this is an on-purpose post and not an accidental one or anything like that, and Tohru is standing behind the counter, wearing her little pink polaroid camera around.]

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well.

[And she gives a very tiny little wave.]

Ah, I had two things I wanted to say. I'll try to be quick though. Um, first...I've been practicing a little more at baking, and I wanted to try decorating cookies, so...I have a lot left over here in the diner, if anyone would like some.

[She reaches out and tilts the camera down so everyone can see two platters of cookies on the counter, in fruit and flower shapes. They actually turned out very well! After everyone's gotten a good look, she tilts the camera back up to where it was and smiles. She pulls a photo album out from under the counter and holds it up so it can be seen. ]

And the other thing I wanted to say was that, well. A lot of new people have come to Wonderland recently, it seems! Ah, hello, by the way - my name is Tohru Honda and it's nice to meet you, if you're watching. But, since people come and go very often, I've been trying to keep a photo album so we'll have something to remember people by when they do leave Wonderland. I only started it a couple of months ago, but I would like to try and take everyone's picture at some point, if that's okay. Um, it's also good for seeing who else has been here in the past, or at least I hope it will be when it's been here long enough. I know it isn't much but...its something I can do to help, so I'd like to keep it going as long as I possibly can!

[By the end of that, she looks very determined! She's not much of a fighter or anything like that. She isn't very strong physically, but she can take pictures and keep a record and make cute cookies! And everyone should be doing everything they can, right?]

So, um. If you'd like to have your picture taken, or if you'd like any cookies, please stop by the diner. It's in the first room on the eighth floor. Thank you very much and have a nice day!

[She gives another little wave, and the camera clicks off.]

Tohru is in the diner really often, and she isn't shy about asking people she doesn't know very well, so you do NOT have to have CR with Tohru in order to be in the photo album!]

[Armin actually wanders into the diner on pure coincidence, without seeing Tohru's post at all. He lives on the top floor, so once while passing through the 8th floor stairwell, he notices the light coming from the doors. His curiosity gets the best of him, and he surreptitiously peeks in.]

[What is this place? It looks kind of like a restaurant, but it's so far away from the kitchen on the main floor. He'd never heard of this before...]

[Tohru hears the door open and peeks over in that direction. When it's someone she doesn't recognize, she smiles and goes to greet them.]

Hello! Welcome to the Rabbit Hole! [The Rabbit Hole being the name of the diner.] Um, you can sit anywhere you'd like to! May I get you something to drink?

[strategisch]

[Armin startles at being addressed like he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Should... Should he leave? No, that would be rude. But this is a proper establishment, he can't just...]

I-I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't have any money.

[Oh please Armin, why would that even matter where we've hit the post scarcity economy. Use your head. Aren't you supposed to be the smart one?]

[breakthecurse]

[She briefly looks sorry -- she hadn't meant to scare him! But she settles right back into a smile.]

Oh, um, that's okay! I don't think anyone has any money in Wonderland, so there's no charge. Are you hungry at all?

[She tries to be gentle about it. If he's worried about whether he has money or not, then he must be very new to Wonderland, and should probably be treated with care until he gets settled in.]

[strategisch]

Hungry? [Well, he hasn't eaten since this morning, so...] Yes, I suppose should be-- Um. Is it really alright just to eat here?

[breakthecurse]

Of course! That's why this diner is here. Please, sit anywhere you'd like. I'll get you a menu!

[And she flutters off to get said menu and bring it to him. It's split in half between American diner fare and Japanese food.]

Ah, I know every world is different though. If there's something else you would rather have, I'll do my best to try and make it for you.

[strategisch]

[Okay, he can't even pronounce any of this Japanese stuff, although it intrigues him greatly. All sorts of foods he's never even heard of before... Perhaps someday when he's feeling adventurous, he'll ask to be surprised.]

[But he does recognize some of the normal diner food! Armin sits down a little stiffly, since he's probably never been waited upon in his life.]

Well... I like vegetable soup. And may I have some bread, too?

[breakthecurse]

Certainly! I'll have that out for you in just a few minutes.

[And she carefully takes back the menu and heads back into the kitchen. True to her word though, she's gone no more than five or ten minutes before she's returned with a large bowl of vegetable soup and a more than generous helping of bread to go along with it.]

Here you are! I hope it's to your liking. Please, enjoy!

[Wow, what a serving! Armin is used to milk-based soups with root vegetables to fill it out, but this soup seems to have a tomato-based broth with noodles. It's pleasantly acidic, hearty, and properly salted, a rare treat in his world. It reminds him that he should eat a warm meal more regularly]

Thank you very much, erm... May I ask your name? I'm Armin.

[breakthecurse]

[With everything she could ever need always magically in supply, Tohru's always able to give generous portions at absolutely no cost. And since she doesn't seem to have anyone else to tend to at the moment, she's more than happy to stay and talk.]

My name is Tohru Honda. It's a pleasure to meet you, Armin. Did you arrive in Wonderland recently?

[strategisch]

[Ah, so she couldn't be some fictive of the mansion then. For a minute he wasn't sure. Armin's posture eases as he begins to feel more comfortable.]

Yes, although I've been here before-- I'm sorry, I'm not very good with foreign names. Should I call you Miss Tohru, or Miss Honda...?

[breakthecurse]

Either way is okay with me. Whichever makes you more comfortable.

[Tohru isn't very particular, and there are so many Westerners in Wonderland that she doesn't even bat an eye at jsut being called Tohru anymore.]

You were here before? I suppose I should be saying "Welcome back!" instead then.

[It always feels kind of strange though, since no one really wants to be trapped in Wonderland.]

Miss Tohru, then. [He nods, and gives her a small smile.]

Yes I was, although I've discovered it was a long time ago by Wonderland's standards. Apparently that's very unusual.

Hm...It does seem that way. I don't think I've ever heard of someone remembering after being gone for so long. That's really amazing though! Maybe that means it could happen to other people too.

[There are people Tohru would love to see again, and to have them remember her in return would be wonderful!]

I have to admit, it's made re-adjusting much easier. I wonder why it does not happen more often. Perhaps the mansion revels in confusion.

[He would not put it past any of the residents here.]

This soup is very good, by the way. Did you make all this by yourself?

Hm...I'm not sure why. But it really would make things easier if it happened to everyone. Ah! But does that mean you remembered Wonderland when you were at home too?

[That's something no one has managed to do yet, and she's curious to know if it's possible. But she blushes at the compliment.]

A-Ah, mm, I did. It's not much, but I'm happy you like it!

[strategisch]

No, I didn't. I'm not sure I'd like to either-- I think people would question my sanity.

[He smiles gently though-- her presence is calming.]

It's delicious. I like it much better than the food the dining room... makes. However it does that.
