1 ♆ joint music video ♫
[ The room looks like a beach house — as it is. Ten and Finnick are dressed in shorts, with wild, vibrant prints, with Finnick wearing a loose shirt and The Doctor sporting a rather dapper find. Finnick Odair isn't quite in his underwear, but he is wearing something that suggests he hadn't opened his eyes while dressing himself this morning — and Ten doesn't look like his marvellously dressed self, either, swapping a suit for something that looks like he'd wear to a beach. Finnick wears oversized red rimmed love heart sunglasses while Ten sports a large dazzling yellow pair that swallow his entire face. Standing beside one another, they seem to bounce to very loud music playing from a stereo system in the background. ]
[ Finnick points to Ten every time he sings (quite well): ] Girl look at that body.
Girl look at that body.
Girl look at that body.
[ Normally, the Doctor might feel uncomfortable, dressed as he is, but somehow, it's not really bothering him right this second. What he and Finnick are about to do is all in good fun, and honestly, he's loving every minute of it, ridiculous clothes and equally ridiculous glasses and all. ]
[ Whenever Finnick points at him, he grins and points right back, singing his part with as much vim and vigor as he can throw into the performance: ]
I-I-I work out.
[ Finnick winks at him. ] When I walk in the spot, this is what I see —
[ And he just winks back. ] — Everybody stops and they're staring at me.
I got passion in my pants — [ Finnick points down to his crotch with an exaggerated thrust of his hips. ]
[ Ten throws back his head and laughs at Finnick's exaggerated movements. But, in the spirit of things, he manages a passable imitation as he continues with the next line: ] — And I ain't afraid to show it.
Show it, show it, show it. [ Finnick moves toward Ten and grabs his glasses from his face. He slips his own off and, one-handedly — almost poking him in the eye — he slips it back over his ears. He shoves his new pair on. Finnick now wears the yellow glasses while Ten wears the hearts. ]
[ Ten mouths a silent but clearly indignant 'oi' at Finnick, but continues on with the song, now wearing those ridiculous heart sunglasses. ]
[ Together: ] I'm sexy and I know it!
[ And Finnick gives Ten a great, big kiss on the cheek. ]

action;
Suddenly, he's looking just a bit confused, because only one other man that he knows of has ever done something like that, and he's not here at the moment. ]
What?
[ Congratulations, Finnick, he's just a bit taken aback. ]
action;
[ he mimics: ] What? [ and before he can stick around to hear an answer, he skips over to his couch and dives onto it. the music is still loud, and finnick nods his head along with it. it's so strange, hearing this, calling it music. he begins mouthing the words. ]
action;
[ Smooth cover, Ten, really. But there was a lot about that that really took him by surprise, least of which the sudden remembrance of Jack Harkness. Because if that wasn't something the intrepid former Time Agent would do, well, then the Doctor was a fish.
Only, in Jack's case, the kiss might not have been on the cheek, but somewhere a bit more forward. And the jury remains out on whether or not the Doctor thinks that's a good thing. ]
Do you think they liked it?
[ Even if they didn't, he still had a good time. ]
action;
Why wouldn't they? [ it's him, everyone likes him. and considering how the doctor is, who wouldn't like him in return? finnick's a public figure, one who preens beneath the starry gazes of those who look upon him and adore him. why would wonderland be any different? ]
[ finnick grins, looking up at ten with his ridiculous glasses still in place. ] Having regrets?

While he's doing that, Cooper seems to find something deeply disturbing about the sound of electro-pop; Adam has to draft his message around a barking dog, who keeps charging up to give his device speakers leery looks and running away again. It could be that Adam serenading him from time to time over the last couple of days has gotten on his little doggy nerves. The music must stop.]
6/10.
[A fair and unbiased grade!
The points aren't because either of you are that sexy, but because your video didn't involve a religious music selection, people yelling Bohemian Rhapsody at each other, a serial killer who looks like Dean, and you made a Brit cover music from an American electronic dance artist. Good job, Adam will give you that much credit.]
text;
For him. What about me?
[ finnick's just asking for it … ]
Re: text;
5.
[He may or may not be having a go at you, shirtless dude.]
Docking you a point because he's English and you're not.
text;
[ you're talking to a fish, bro. this kid doesn't know american from english, even on a good day. even though adam's clearly being a lying asshole out of jealousy and giving him a 5 for that reason alone, finnick doesn't let his ego get in the way to fight him on it. yet. ]

[At no point in Luke's life has he ever taken the time to wonder just what it feels like to have a dad who embarrasses you in front of all your school friends by dancing at the end-of-year disco. Yet now he knows.
God, does he know.
And right now it's really important to him that the Doctor and his kinda hot friend know too.]
I'm just going to crawl under a rock and die of shame.

[ He did have a good time with it, so even if the entirety of Wonderland thinks poorly of him because of this, well, he's had worse. ]
Right, then, have a good time with that.
[ He doesn't mean to be rude, of course, but he might be a bit miffed at the reactions he's been hearing and seeing. ]
Oh, and Finnick, next time, I suppose you and I could practice a bit more.
[ Then he at least would've had the chance to brush up on his dancing. ]
[video]
[video]
[Is the answer to that question. One vital difference between Luke and the rest of the Doctor's audience is Luke doesn't see the Doctor as an attractive stranger who walks in time. All he sees is his mum's ex from the era of free love singing electropop with a half-naked stranger.]
Oh, er.
[Well. Maybe Finnick's part wasn't so embarrassing. Judging from the way Luke's cheeks pink up at his appearance, he might have been into what Finnick was selling, if he hadn't been doing it with Luke's alien dad.]
He didn't have to dance at all! You could have done all the dancing and he could have held your coat. Off-screen.

[Looking at you, Finnick.]
Can't say much about the choreography though. Could use some tweaking.
video;
What would you suggest? [ finnick grins slowly ] We're all yours.
video;
[ Really, Bela, have you seen the Doctor? He's not exactly out of shape here. ]
Well, then, if you've got any advice, I'd love to hear it.
[ Though honestly, he's got no plans to do something like this ever again, no matter how persuasive Finnick gets. ]
video;
[ She feigns an innocent face to the Doctor. ]
For starters, you could move a little more in sync with one another. Try not to fall over each other either. [A beat.] I will commend you both for your enthusiasm though.
Why the song choice?

How long have you two been together?
( video )
[ finnick knows what he's asking, and while he'd love to wrap his arm around ten and say how much he adores this man, he thinks ten needs a bit of a break from all the affection. finnick can handle the public displays, but ten? he's made of softer stuff — thank god. considering what has shaped finnick into the puppet that he is today, he takes some solace in ten's embarrassment. ] A few hours. [ but while it's fun to play daft, finnick sure does love to stir the pot. ] He's something special, that Doctor.
( video ) threadjacking oops
[ Blimey, but you do one song with a person, and suddenly that means the two of you are together? Humans...
The Doctor is very much resisting the urge to roll his eyes, and the sad part is, he's not sure if it's directed at Finnick or the other person.
But, with that being said, he does like Finnick as a friend and a friend only, which is why he can say: ]
Well, I don't know, you're special enough yourself.
[ And for the love of Kasterborous, do not read anything into that, Finnick, or he will have to have words with you. ]
