1 ♆ joint music video ♫
[ The room looks like a beach house — as it is. Ten and Finnick are dressed in shorts, with wild, vibrant prints, with Finnick wearing a loose shirt and The Doctor sporting a rather dapper find. Finnick Odair isn't quite in his underwear, but he is wearing something that suggests he hadn't opened his eyes while dressing himself this morning — and Ten doesn't look like his marvellously dressed self, either, swapping a suit for something that looks like he'd wear to a beach. Finnick wears oversized red rimmed love heart sunglasses while Ten sports a large dazzling yellow pair that swallow his entire face. Standing beside one another, they seem to bounce to very loud music playing from a stereo system in the background. ]
[ Finnick points to Ten every time he sings (quite well): ] Girl look at that body.
Girl look at that body.
Girl look at that body.
[ Normally, the Doctor might feel uncomfortable, dressed as he is, but somehow, it's not really bothering him right this second. What he and Finnick are about to do is all in good fun, and honestly, he's loving every minute of it, ridiculous clothes and equally ridiculous glasses and all. ]
[ Whenever Finnick points at him, he grins and points right back, singing his part with as much vim and vigor as he can throw into the performance: ]
I-I-I work out.
[ Finnick winks at him. ] When I walk in the spot, this is what I see —
[ And he just winks back. ] — Everybody stops and they're staring at me.
I got passion in my pants — [ Finnick points down to his crotch with an exaggerated thrust of his hips. ]
[ Ten throws back his head and laughs at Finnick's exaggerated movements. But, in the spirit of things, he manages a passable imitation as he continues with the next line: ] — And I ain't afraid to show it.
Show it, show it, show it. [ Finnick moves toward Ten and grabs his glasses from his face. He slips his own off and, one-handedly — almost poking him in the eye — he slips it back over his ears. He shoves his new pair on. Finnick now wears the yellow glasses while Ten wears the hearts. ]
[ Ten mouths a silent but clearly indignant 'oi' at Finnick, but continues on with the song, now wearing those ridiculous heart sunglasses. ]
[ Together: ] I'm sexy and I know it!
[ And Finnick gives Ten a great, big kiss on the cheek. ]

[ She feigns an innocent face to the Doctor. ]
For starters, you could move a little more in sync with one another. Try not to fall over each other either. [A beat.] I will commend you both for your enthusiasm though.
Why the song choice?
video;
[ but at the question, finnick frowns. why the song choice? finnick doesn't even know this song … the ego deflates just a little at the realisation. ] It came on the radio … It seemed like a good choice at the time. [ but he still remains puzzled. ]
video;
Well, he picked it, and it had a good enough sound, so... That's how it went.
[ He directs a pointed look in Finnick's direction. ]
Don't tell me you're regretting it now.
video;
[She's not disappointed in the slightest, Bela was just curious about their reasoning behind it.]
Don't regret it. Not the worst thing that you could do after all.
video;
Although, I do regret not many people enjoy themselves in Wonderland. [ so many people either suffer jealousy at not being able to pull off the ridiculous sunglasses finnick has in his hands or they don't understand that fun is meant to be as embarrassing as one can make it. ] Why have a network if you're not going to broadcast something fun?
video;
Why not have fun in general? [ Of course, life in Wonderland could be difficult, and sometimes the events weren't the best, but in between those times, things were relatively calm and stable.
The Doctor agreed with Finnick's statement, thinking it an apt one. People should at least try and find some way of brightening up their lives when they could, even if sometimes, circumstances weren't so forgiving or flexible. ]
video;
I try to make the most of the quiet times between events as much as possible, as should everyone really. Maybe you'll inspire people with your little display. [Bela smiles at the both of them, and it's a genuine one.]
Now, I have to know the men behind this. What are your names and where are you from?
video;
Finnick Odair. [ victor of district 4 sits on his lips, but he bites it down. ] Panem. Apparently it's not anything like a proper Earth. [ he says it so easily, since the doctor seems to be from one that's entirely different, built richer, with more life to it, with less restrictions than panem itself. he says it sarcastically, not quite certain of how true it really is. ]
video;
I don't have a particular home, not really, although I do spend a lot of time on Earth. Love the Earth, really. What a great planet.
video;
Panem. I'm assuming it's on a planet of some description, despite what you just said, Finnick. [from his tone, she wonders if there was something more to the place he was talking about. what exactly was a proper earth, really? in his opinion of course.]
And you, Doctor. If the Earth isn't your home, I'm assuming that you come from another planet. Does that make you an alien? It's just..your accent.
video;
[ he does spare the doctor a glance, if only for the fact that he's learning even more about the man and where he comes from. and it's strange. ] Panem. It's a place no one's heard of, so I can only assume it's a completely different world. [ one that no one should ever want to be, he thinks. from the small scraps of descriptors he's managed to steal from people in wonderland, he thinks any place that isn't panem is the world to be. ]
video;
There are tons of different worlds out there. You just have to want to look for them.
[ Well, that, and have some way of seeing them. It's been pointed out to him before that not everyone has a flying blue box to carry them off to those different worlds. ]
And since you asked, I'm not from Earth, if that helps to narrow it down.
[ Don't ask for an explanation on his accent. Really, you don't want to do that, or else he might wind up launching into a long and detailed explanation about how traits get passed on by various means, with probably some mention of hybrids thrown in for good measure. ]
video;
[ bela switches her attention to the doctor then. ]
Well, not really. God only knows how many planets there are out there in the universe. A universe which is continually expanding and we've barely scratched the surface of it.
I've a question for the both of you now. Have you anyone else from home here?
