005 ☄ video
[Castiel isn't one to make use of the network unless he has good reason for it, but this falls squarely into that category. When the feed starts up, he's seated in the music room, which is one of the only areas in the mansion he could find that has an empty seat and isn't affected by one of the residual events.
He clearly isn't there to play the piano, though. He's got his phone pointed at his face and his expression is nothing short of grim. It's been a trying past few days.]
I've conferred with someone else about this and it looks to be a plague that's affected a number of us. I have memories that don't belong to me.
[There's already been some yelling about it over the network, whereas Castiel is much more controlled. He wants this fixed, if that's even possible.]
I may be able to put them back where they belong, if I can find their owner.
[At that point, he lifts up a piece of paper where he's sketched out some patterns from memory.] Does anyone here have tattoos that look like this, along their chest, arms, and back? [There's so much more he could say -- about being the Chosen One, or knowing the archangels Michael and Gabriel, but he would rather not air this mystery person's dirty laundry on the network for everyone to hear. Hopefully the mention of tattoos will be enough to grab someone's attention.
He lowers the paper.] And... if anyone has memories of being an angel, we may need to talk. [He would also rather not go into any further detail about what he's missing. It's hard to, when he only knows the very basics of what he's lost.]
One last warning: stay out of Dean Winchester's way. He's still dangerous.
[Castiel reaches forward for his phone and the feed cuts.]

video;
Castiel really shouldn't be surprised.]
I wouldn't call it time off, given that I wasn't aware of time passing.
[Much as he tries to contain himself, there's anger flashing behind his eyes.]
What do you want?
video;
Gees, that's an awfully negative way of lookin' at it, man. Could at least pretend to be rejuvenated...
[ but dean only shrugs, smiling. cas can be a stick in the mud all he wants. ] And come on, I'm checking up on my bestest pal in the whole word, of course. Heard about the horrible incident on the fifth floor. Something about a stab victim.
video;
The amount of tolerance that Castiel has for the demon's attempts to get under his skin has just about been used up, and so he responds with the driest monotone that he can muster.] Try all you want, but your attempts to be humorous are going to continually fall short.
[Which is no doubt the point of this. Dean is here to pester him, and nothing more, it seems.] ... Have you had another's memories inflicted on you? [Castiel hopes not. It would require someone having to interact with Dean in order to get them back, and right now he wouldn't wish that on anyone.]
video;
Maybe. [ which is demon for yes, definitely. ] Be happy I didn't leave him in the same state as you or Sammy. I could've. [ imagine poor little wirt, broken and bloody on the floor. unlike sam or cas, surely he would have suffered some permanent trauma. ]
video;
All Castiel has really been told is that the person didn't end up dead as a result. Which is a low bar, to say the least.]
In that case, your memories must have gone to someone else too.
[Are they Dean's memories in general, or only ones from when he's been a demon?]
video;
How you manage to time and time again put two and two together so quickly never really ceases to amaze me. [ yes, it would mean someone has a memory or three of his, as well. therein lays dean's problem with this particular event, too, since it means his head's being fucked with. never a good time. ]
video;
Instead, Dean's sarcastic comment which Castiel could have taken in stride normally only comes across as cruel, and he narrows his eyes into a glare.]
Are you finished?
video;
Easy with the growling. Would hate it if I was forced to gut you again. [ actually no, the thought is pretty exciting, and no doubt the mark of cain burned into his arm agrees entirely. ]
video;
[As difficult as Dean is to track down right now, Castiel can be even more evasive if he chooses. Which is the plan until they've figured out how they're going to put an end to Dean's demonic killing spree once and for all.
He isn't dumb enough to fall for the same trick three times.]
video;
You're assumin' I can't. [ finding an angel would actually be quite a bit of work, since cas is known for his vanishing tricks. but never underestimate a winchester, let alone a demonic one. ]
But don't worry, it ain't your turn-- not unless you force it to be.
video;
[Is Dean honestly lecturing him on forcing an issue when he's the one who'd pestered Castiel in the first place? He is so beyond done with this conversation, and so without wasting any more of his time, he ends the feed.
And hopes that the demon isn't persistent enough to actually call back.]
