[The video clicks on to just Billy's face and he moves the camera back quickly because no one wants to see him that close up. He's sitting on a couch in a room with book shelves behind him and he smiles awkwardly at the camera.]

Err. Hi. So. I had been thinking recently, what with all the stuff this place has been throwing at us and everything, maybe it was time to have a place for the people who come from worlds with magic who can use it or even who want to learn to study or train. We have a fitness room, and a training center but no magic studies room. So uh, I made one.

[He pans the camera around the show everyone the room, before the camera comes back to his face.]

Its not much yet, but I was hoping that anyone who is interested would come and contribute what they know from their worlds. A place we can meet and teach each other or just hang out and discuss whatever. Its on the first floor next to the training center. I'll be here for a while but anyone is free to stop by whenever.

[There really wasn't much else to say so he shot the camera another grin before turning the video off.]

Will you be teaching others magic yourself?

I would like to, if I can and people want my help. I don't know how much of an expert I would be in some areas but I can teach what I know.

Could you teach me? Do you think I could learn?

[SHE HAS NO IDEA, but it's been made clear to her that spending some time with Billy and Tommy could be good for her.]

[The irony isn't lost on him. How much did he long to learn from Wanda back home, to have her help him figure out the mess that was his powers? But something always came up. Sure he saw her and spent time with her but he had hoped they would be closer. Being an Avenger meant life was busy, for both of them.

And here was a version of his mother asking him to teach her how to use her powers. Part of him thought that was amazing, part of him wanted to cry.]
Sure! You can, I'm not sure what your powers are like but back in my world they were similar to mine, so we can try and go from there.

Maybe they are the same, or close enough that I can learn.

[Truth be told, she still has a lot to learn about the scope of her own powers. Where she's at now? That's only the beginning.]

It's hard to say. Did I gain them the same way in this other world of yours? Experimentation?

Probably. We can work on it either way, I know what its like to have to kind of teach yourself how to use powers so I'm happy to help in anyway i can. As far as I know you were born with your powers in my world. Back home we're called mutants. Our genes have evolved from regular humans and we are all born with some sort of ability that usually manifests around puberty. Mine came about when I was fourteen.

Born with them?

[Even the idea of being born with powers seems foreign to her. Color her curious.]

I did not know that was possible. To be born so different- it must be difficult.

Yeah. Though i didn't know it for a while. As far as I was aware there were no mutants in my family up until me. Yeah...

[Being a mutant was easy after being different his whole life.]

Yeah, well, at that point being different was pretty easy. I'm gay, so I've been different my whole life. That wasn't easy.

{He's not sure how she is going to respond to that, in his world she never cared, but this wasn't the same Wanda.]

No, I imagine it wouldn't be.

[If it surprises her, she doesn't let it show. Perhaps it's the fact that text allows her the opportunity to process any shock and carefully filter her words, but her response comes quickly, and none of what he's said seems to trouble her.]

People can be cruel, and some will find any reason to be so. Whether because you are different or because you have something they want, or even if you have nothing at all. People find all sorts of ways to justify causing others pain.

I am sorry you had to learn that firsthand.

[ He breathes a little easier, its one of the harder things to get out of the way. Billy may play it cool and act like he could careless what anyone thought about who he was, but he wasn't made of steel, of course he cared. The fact that Wanda didn't stop talking to him was a good sign. ]

Thanks. Teenagers are even worse sometimes, they are insecure so they make sure people are not looking at their faults but at others. As hard as some of it was it's made me who I am. I'm pretty ok with who I am. Mostly.

You are fortunate, to be able to look at hardship in such a way. Others would do well to follow your example.
