[The video clicks on to just Billy's face and he moves the camera back quickly because no one wants to see him that close up. He's sitting on a couch in a room with book shelves behind him and he smiles awkwardly at the camera.]

Err. Hi. So. I had been thinking recently, what with all the stuff this place has been throwing at us and everything, maybe it was time to have a place for the people who come from worlds with magic who can use it or even who want to learn to study or train. We have a fitness room, and a training center but no magic studies room. So uh, I made one.

[He pans the camera around the show everyone the room, before the camera comes back to his face.]

Its not much yet, but I was hoping that anyone who is interested would come and contribute what they know from their worlds. A place we can meet and teach each other or just hang out and discuss whatever. Its on the first floor next to the training center. I'll be here for a while but anyone is free to stop by whenever.

[There really wasn't much else to say so he shot the camera another grin before turning the video off.]

England. [Said completely blankly, not fully registering what she was being asked. But then oh, right, we're talking different worlds here.] --Rather, I've been in attendance at a school called Gunnerkrigg Court, which frowns upon magic despite having many students with the ability in attendance. The magic in my world... I've found is a bit different than others'. It relies on a thing called the ether, which is both a force and a place.

It would be nice to see an actual book on magic from my world... Well, I'll surely be looking through what you've gathered, so if it exists I may stumble upon it after all.

[ There might be some metaphorical chinhands going on now. Billy's always interested in other words, especially magic that differs from his. ] Ether? Is it a place that holds the power you need to use to do magic?

I wish I had organized the books in a better fashion, I may have to get on that. [He was the worst at organization. Teddy was always better at being neat and organized, Billy was the slob. ]

Well, it isn't quite just a place. It's everywhere. And you can enter it, if you know how. See things differently than how they look normally. And I suppose you do need it to do magic. It kind of... powers everything. It... makes the world spin, I suppose. [Or so a black dog told her, once.]

Well, I'll try to put them back in a sensible sort of way when I read through them.

So it's here too then? Can anyone enter it, or just you?

That would be great, and helpful. Also feel free to ask the closets for whatever you want to add to the room. if you want to.

Yes, it is. And... anyone should be able to enter it, but I'm apparently the only one that knows how to. I'm the only one from my world, where it's... well, not common knowledge, but common enough among the right crowd.

I'll see if the closet can give me any books on the ether as I know it in my world. Though that may be harder than it sounds, from what I know of the closets and specific requests.

Do you think you could teach me? Or others here?

Yeah, sometimes you luck out and get something you want. But it's a crapshoot a lot of the time.

I'd be open to teaching anyone, if it's possible. I don't know how compatible my world's magic is with others'. I've been meaning to show James, but I wouldn't mind a larger audience.

That would be great. I'm always up for learning something new and maybe combining the magic from different worlds is the key to getting out of this place.

[She pauses, considering what he's said. Finding a way to use Wonderland's magic is her biggest goal right now. If the key is using their own magic, collectively...]

That... That could be possible. Yes, you could be right -- it's worth a try.
