Entry #1

[It's entirely possible this man is trying to say something important on video, but there's a problem. Static keeps fuzzing intermittently across the screen in a multicolored frenzy, corrupting his words beyond much recognition. You might catch a glimpse of a face squinting at the video feed, tongue stuck out between his teeth in concentration, before the video blurs and dips. Now you're getting a lovely view of the front of his shirt, jacket strings dangling, in between the rushes of white noise.]

-nderland thing- [sorry, can't hear you over the roaring of ZZZZZFFFFFJFFZJZJZ now crackling merrily across the video feed] -iously? Is anyo- [and poor Alex is again interrupted by another squeal of distortion. This persists for a few minutes before the feed clicks off with the disgruntled air of a frustrated sigh.

Then, a line of text:]

alright i guess that idea wasn't happening anytime soon
so this is some kindof wonderland shitshow is what i'm hearing
i'll skip the obvious has anyone tried to get out blah blah blah youve all heard it
what i wanna know is this

Are you sure you don't want to spend some more time on anxious disbelief or powerless anger or something like that? That usually keeps most new arrivals busy for at least a week.

[ He sends along a file. ]

There's always rolling your eyes at our unofficial tourist brochure, that should keep you for half a minute or so. And afterwards there's the closets and your room. Changes into whatever you want, gives you whatever you want. So think of whatever it is you want to do, and make it happen.

You know, I'm pretty sure we had Thor stuck here with us once, so technically god is really just in the same sinking boat. Great job otherwise though.

And if you ever think you absolutely need something the closets won't give you, then there's always the vendors behind the mansion. More creepiness, but they'll trade you for just about anything you've got on you. Including memories.

(Told you it was a thing here.)

The closets are the off-brand store, so to speak. You might say you get what you pay for, which in the case of not paying anything at all means a bit of a hit and miss thing.

Say you ask for a dog, you've got a particular one in mind. Slim chance you'll get exactly the one you pictured, but on a good day it's the right breed. Similar one, at least. Entirely different one if you're not so lucky, and if you're really not lucky at all, then it's a plush dog. Or a hot dog. The vendors deliver with a bit more precision, down to colour pattern and temperament. Somebody even did a study on it once, I think, some statistical breakdown of what you ask for versus what you get. But you already know that people get bored here.

Right, and shockingly logic actually factors into this one as well: If you want something bigger than your closet door, then you'll have to go somewhere that isn't limited by a door. So now you know who to turn to for that elephant you've always wanted.

Physics professor. And yes, this will be on the final.

You didn't know? That's the true horror of Wonderland, all your external credits are void here.

Obviously that's why I couldn't. It would've been too awful to bear.

So, what else do you need? This is the tutorial, so you still get to ask questions.

[ Gaewhatnow. He'll just have to add that to his 'to be determined' list of references. ]

Incredible. A+. I'm blown away.

All right then, welcome back. Enjoy your second stay, and good luck.

[ And if you need anything else-- Philip shakes his head. Never mind that. He'll... he'll figure it out. ]
