Excuse me... I'm terribly sorry for bothering a-all of you, but, um... it's February. I think. I mean, it's hard t-to keep track of time here, with events, and losing memories... b-but I think it's February, since Christmas was two months ago...

Anyway, I... I wanted to make Christmas cake for th-those who have been so nice to me, but, um, that didn't... work out... So I thought I'd give i-it another try, this time with Valentine's Day chocolate. I kn-know it's not until the fourteenth, but things could h-happen, so I wanted to be p-prepared... So... I'm going to be making chocolate every day until after the fourteenth! Th-that way, I won't have a chance to miss it.

And I know you can simply... w-wish for chocolates here, but, I, I wanted to show my appreciation to everyone who has been so kind to me here. I've never known so m-many nice people before... so... i-if you'll accept them, I w-want to give you chocolate!

... Oh, but, um, if you want some anyway, even if you d-don't know me, you can have them.

[To be totally honest, Wirt wasn't paying attention to the network at all. He missed her Valentine's announcement completely and just happened to be heading to the kitchen at exactly the right time. He was just going to make a sandwich, but he halts in his tracks when he spots her there.]

Oh, um. ...Hi?

[He's gotten better about not immediately retreating from the kitchen when someone else is in it, but she's clearly set up with some big...thing she's making, and that feels sort of different.]

Uh...I-I can come back later? You seem pretty busy a-and I don't want to interrupt or anything. Or, uh. More than I already have, I guess.

[It's a little messy here and there, but she looks up at him, surprised - but for once, a happy surprised.]

Oh! N-No, actually... I want to give you something! If you'd like it, m-maybe...

[She walks over to a counter where little chocolate hearts have been cooling. With a spatula, she very carefully places a fresh one on a pink plate.]

[He peeks over curiously, and then his stomach bottoms out when he sees what it is because oh, no. No, that can't possibly be right. He can't conceive of any possible reason why a girl he's only talked to a couple of times would want to give him a heart shaped chocolate. Sure there are good reasons like "maybe she likes you" or "maybe she thinks of you as a friend" but it's all the bad reasons that come to mind first. Like "she's playing a trick on you" or "someone put her up to it" or "there's a camera hidden somewhere".

Because obviously girls don't just give him valentines for no reason. That just doesn't happen. Especially when it's not even Valentine's Day yet.]

Uhh... [He's struggling for something to say, because blurting out his suspicions is probably rude but without them he's at a loss.] Thank...you? But, um. ...Why.

[She pauses, trying to puzzle it out. After a moment, she holds the plate out again, even closer to him.]

... You've been so nice to me, e-ever since I first came here... and you were v-very brave during that last event. I can't do much for anyone... I'm useless at so many things. B-But I wanted to thank you...

[Nageki isn't thinking about chocolates when he enters the kitchen. He wants to make something to eat. He doesn't expect to find Mikan already there.

He does his best to be unobtrusive as he enters. Perhaps he can grab some millet and leave?]
