yeah, student film. there's just a better feel to the older models of cameras, you know? that and the fps translates better to the style I was going for. the quality just suited the story.

Kind of a coming-of-age story. Very tight and introspective with some existential melancholia on the side since that seemed thematically significant given the subject matter. Started writing it in high school and I just kept polishing the script until finally I felt like it was ready to go by the time I hit college.

Called "Marble Hornets".

It's cool you wrote it yourself, I can't imagine how hard that is. On top of like actually shooting it.

Did as much as I could myself. The story hit really close to home so I wanted to be as hands on as I could. lighting editing everything

except actors. unfortunately i just had to do auditions for those. a lot of them were a pain on top of it

theres tons of usable locations around here
woods, beaches, hallways, mirrors
kind of a dearth of abandoned buildings though which is a shame since the derelict aesthetic is really unique and adds a nice to feel to everything

Yeah. I grew up in this kind of quiet seaside town. Arcadia Bay. I spent a couple of years in Seattle, then moved back for a photography course.

It is nice. [And holy crap she did not realize how much she misses the place, Arcadia Bay itself, until she started texting this out.]
