001 ❦ Video
Ugh, there we go...
[Pacifica's narrows her eyes while she stares at the screen. Calling her expression icy almost seems too mild. She's not having a good day, sorry. And she can't even use her own phone for this? That's so stupid.]
So, like, I don't know if this is just Gravity Falls type weirdness or something completely different, but honestly? I don't really care. Someone just tell me who I have to blame for all of this and make it quick. Because if I don't get home right now, I'll-- I'll sue them!
I'll sue everyone here if I have to!
[She brushes some hair out of her face and crosses her arms, trying to look intimidating. Which is difficult when you're a twelve year old girl, unfortunately for her.]
Some of us have a curfew, okay? And I so refuse to get in trouble with my parents about this!

Some of us have a curfew, okay? And I so refuse to get in trouble with my parents about this!
video;
Ugh, please. They notice when I'm even a minute late to anything.
[Okay, the time stopping thing negates that, if it's legit. Still.]
Wait, seriously, whole year?! Dipper, please tell me that's a joke. And if it is, it's not very funny!
video;
[Not that he's actually... aged.]
Speaking of which, what's the last thing you remember from back home?
[She's complaining about her parents and not being as mean as she could be, so she's probably from after they bonded hunting ghosts. That... doesn't narrow it down that much.]
video;
[Everything is super weird. She hasn't stopped being weirded out for even a second yet.]
Uh, I don't know, I was at home? There was the whole ghost thing a while ago? Oh, and there was something weird going on with gravity the other day? I don't really know what the heck was up with that.
video;
[Today in things that are absolutely terrible.]
Okay, that was probably Grunkle Stan's portal. [Oh boy. This is a lot more exposition than he ever expected to give Pacifica, but if she's here, she'll probably run into Ford, and though he's... not sure she's actually paid attention enough to know how many grunkles Dipper and Mabel have, he should give her the benefit of the doubt and explain.] So, uh, his twin brother Ford has come back to our dimension. He's also in Wonderland, so you'll probably meet him.
[A beat. Maybe context will help.]
He wrote the Journals.
video;
Whatever, honestly. I mean, it all sounds kind of complicated and my head already hurts from today. I'll just go with it.
[Which is probably the best policy in general here. Just go with it.]
Ha, I honestly never even stopped to think about where you got that book from, but it figures you didn't just, like, check that out of the library.
video;
Yeah, even in Gravity Falls the libraries don't carry mysterious handwritten journals. I found this hidden in a secret underground compartment in the woods.
video;
How did you even find that?
video;
video;
But, I mean, you're used to weirdness anyway, right? So you can totally just figure this stuff out yourself too, can't you?
video;
video;
video;
video;
There isn't something wrong with all the mirrors, right? Because I seriously need those. A lot. Like, looking this good takes time.
video;
video;
Just tell me already.
video;
video;
[You know what? Yeah. She wasn't prepared for that one.]
Whaaaaat?
[Things that are okay:
NOT THAT.]
video;
[A beat.]
Actually, Grunkle Stan's Mirror is really nice. It's... creepy.
video;
So there's a weird alternate version of me, too? Ugh... Ugh, okay, so not gonna think too much about that. Oh, this is totally gonna ruin mirrors for me, isn't it...
video;
[Dipper knows the expression, but he already has a twin. And Mabel's mirror has made enough weird remarks about it that he's... touchy about it.]
Yeah, sorry. We mostly keep ours covered. And play music to try and make it harder to overhear.
video;
[Yeah that probably wouldn't sound okay to someone who actually is a twin.]
Right... Okay, I can do that. Definitely doing that. I don't really want a weird double spying on me.
Have you talked to your own weird mirror you?
video;
[He shakes his head.]
I've met Mabel's and she's met mine. It's... usually impossible to meet your own, though you can talk to them by writing on the glass. It was... she was... wrong.
[There's more than a little revulsion on his face even just thinking about it. He knows Mabel as well as he knows himself, maybe even better. Seeing her but not her was... something he hopes he doesn't have to do again.]
video;
I can't even imagine what that's like and I'm pretty sure I don't really want to. That's gotta be, like, near the top of the freakiness list.
video;
Anyway, other parts aren't so bad. Except the events. And the being stuck part. And did I mention the not aging thing?
