TIME FOR A YACHT PARTY, HOW FUN (video + action)
( this is far from his first "event" in Wonderland, but somehow that doesn't make it any easier. he's seen a lot of demented creatures in his lifetime, that simply happens when you're as old as he is. he's not interested in sticking around to let them gnaw on him, and he's got a very good escape route to get away from the madness. )
Listen. I don't know what these things are, but I'm willing to bet they can't swim. If you can get to the docks, we're taking off in under an hour.
( he doesn't know most of the people trapped here, but he's not heartless. his ship could get rather cramped, but when it's life or death on the line, he'll take anyone who wants the shelter. )
If you damage my ship you'll be fixing it yourself. Worry less about what you're bringing and more about getting here safely.
( that's it, that's the message; he probably won't talk too much to anyone that responds, other than to answer questions. )
ACTION
When the man says an hour, he really means it. As soon as everyone pertinent is aboard, including some individuals he wasn't exactly expecting (a friend of the people he cared about was good enough to grant passage), the ship sets sail. It's easier to get The Jolly Roger moving when there's more than just one person running about her decks. Don't know how to sail? Well, get ready for a crash course lesson, because all hands on deck.
After that, it's more or less a waiting game. There's a barrier to protect the ship and after that, it's up to the people aboard to keep themselves entertained. There's more food than one would expect, between the pirate and the stores people brought along. One can expect to eat, though perhaps not eat well. When it's survival on the line, though, do you have any room to complain?
There's not a great deal to keep one entertained, though. There are hammocks to sleep in in the crew quarters, a deck to walk and places to explore. The captain's quarters are very much so off limits and if he finds you there he'll be displeased. There are a few games, trinkets, things here or there. Maybe you can get some lessons in sailing or swordsmanship while you're aboard... Make the most of it, because it's hard telling how long you'll be stuck on the steadily rocking decks.
( ooc: use this post as desired for ship shenanigans! if you want the pirate involved in an action, please say so in the title! otherwise use it as an open to interact with each other as you see fit. )

( poor little munchkins. they finally were free and Zelena was already scheming ways to get back and torture them with a baby. very wild plans, which a part of him, a part that has been decidedly inactive of late, can admire. she doesn't give up, no matter how ridiculously unlikely the dream she happened to be fighting for. )
Why go back in the first place, when all that draws you there is destroying the happiness of miniature people?
( this was getting decidedly close to conversational, abort, abort! )

[Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead is going to cut short pretty quickly if that's the case.]
But why wouldn't I want to go back? It's home. And more importantly, it's away from the rest of you. Which is even better.

( there's something awfully sad about that question. underneath the leather and the eyeliner he's still an orphan. he barely knows what a home is, but the place she landed after her mother abandoned her? doesn't sound like home to him. )
I know you tend toward misery no matter where you are, but why go back to a place where it was worst?
( he needs a drink. he waves his hand like he doesn't care. he's just backtracking and intends to go somewhere else, and that means being an ass again. )
I don't see you going anywhere with Robin Hood's child. I suppose it doesn't matter.

[Look, she can be terrible and snide about things too. And look if anyone saw it happening they probably should've been nice and suggested a less ridiculous outfit or something.
And while Hook might not care, Zelena doesn't care that he doesn't care, so she'll answer his question about home too.]
And what makes Oz home is that it's simply where I want to be. Not here, certainly not in Storybrooke, or anywhere else for that matter.
[It's not exactly a well thought argument, and it's probably obvious that she even knows that, but still, it's better than any other possibility at the moment. And at least it's somewhere she knows, so there's that as well.]

Unfortunately for all of us, you're not going anywhere for the time being. ( especially unfortunate, considering she's on his ship. ) Though you'll have to excuse me, if I wanted to watch someone glower there's another of your bloodline that's just as gifted at it.
( he's not actually going to go watch Regina Mills complain, though. he has better things to do. literally everything would be better than the sulky sisters. )

[That's mostly rhetorical. She doesn't know, and she doesn't...okay, yes, she does care. She cares very much so she can complain about it and whine about how Regina's life isn't really that difficult. But she doesn't feel like griping about it to Hook.]
Never mind that, fine. Go. Go reapply your eyeliner or swab the deck or whatever it is you do to keep this thing afloat.

despite the jab about his kohl — which is practical and aesthetically pleasing, thank you!!! — he's not half as offended by the comment about his ship. he does keep his girl afloat. he waves a ringed hand as he departs, as if to prove she's not even worth a snappy comeback as he walks away. )
