Hey... so, I totally missed my one-year mark. Pretty sure that was right in the middle of the Infected shit storm-- that couldn't be related, could it? But, anyway, I'm hoping someone just forgot to come by and give me my special badge or whatever you get for this illustrious milestone? I forgive you for being late, since I completely forgot, and you can come by with that prize anytime. Unless it's just for the five-year guys, and if that's the case, then... booooo.

[ Ellie pulls a face, offering a helpful thumbs-down for the camera. ]

Anyway! "What I Learned on My Wonderland Vacation"... I'm way less likely to drown now! Thanks, Jo. [ ... ] Uh, I know way too much about a lot of your personal lives, which is... gross, sometimes. There are kids here, people. [ Some of you are just nasty. ] I figured out exactly how much molten chocolate cake I can down before I get sick. That's three, and I'd say they're all big accomplishments. ... Except that middle one.

[ There are a bunch of other things, too, but her attention is already wandering and she yawns to prove it. ]

Does anyone have a Mirror who isn't extremely creepy? Inquiring minds want to know.

[There's a lot Josuke could focus on here, but he's been trying to avoid thinking about the Mirrors and has done his best to not watch anything going on on the other side of the glass.]

You've been here a year -- Wait. Five years?! People can be stuck here that long?!

[He visibly deflates with a groan.]

Sure. [ Ellie bobs her head in a confirming nod. ] Not a lot of them? But... yeah. Some people.

[ She's not sure of who, though. Whoever it is, she's not close with them. ]

Just come from school? [ She chuckles, able to appreciate what he's said. ] Uh, yeah. No studying here unless you want. There's other crap to worry about, though.

[Josuke just groans. Everything he's hearing is beginning to seriously outweigh the magic closets.]

I don't wanna be here for five years. [He drags the word out, for ~emphasis~] Sure the closets are great, but I have stuff I need to do.

[At least time has stopped moving back home, apparently? He has no idea how that works but whatever.]

Kinda. We'd been out for the day when I ended up here. [Dealing with an invisible baby, at that.] I sorta read the pamphlet? But it didn't really explain what the events could be in any detail.

Uh, we've all got stuff to do. [ Ellie says, scrunching her brows together and peering, scrutinizing, at Josuke. ] But you can't just get back home by whining about it.

[ Eh, they've all done their fair share of whining, though. ]

Well, they're all different. Like... some that are just ridiculous, and some that're really, really bad. I heard once there was just a flood of puppies. Another time, we got zombies. [ Infected, to be precise, but there's no point explaining the finer details to this guy. ] Like that.

If we could, this place'd be empty.

[But he's a teenage boy who lives with his mom, chances are there'll be a lot more whining in the future.

As Ellie explains, his expression goes from hopeful to despair, incredibly despair. ...Also kinda scared because oh god he thought the house across the street potentially being haunted was bad now he has to deal with zombies?]

Ha... Haha, since it's done zombies before, they're not gonna come back, right? [Right? Right?]

Good point. [ Everyone does their share of whining in Wonderland, adult or kid or magical or human. ]

Probably not. [ Ellie says reasonably. ] I've heard they don't do doubles. Problem is, though, there're more than one kind of zombie. A lot of people here come from places where that's the norm. So... you may have missed one or two, but there're still a few options that could come up.

[ There's a pause as she considers what she's saying and then her face falls a little. ]

Sorry. Didn't mean to sound like a dick. Just thought you should be prepared.

[As Ellie talks, Josuke gets more and more distraught because his life was so much easier when all he had to worry about was which copyrighted musical reference was going to cause problems this week.]

No, you're okay. I get it. A place like this is enough trouble without us helping where we can, right?

[...He still looks distraught but it's 100% because of the potential for zombies.]

Right. [ Whoops. She didn't mean to scar the new arrival for life, but... at least he knows some of what to expect now? ]
