Hey... so, I totally missed my one-year mark. Pretty sure that was right in the middle of the Infected shit storm-- that couldn't be related, could it? But, anyway, I'm hoping someone just forgot to come by and give me my special badge or whatever you get for this illustrious milestone? I forgive you for being late, since I completely forgot, and you can come by with that prize anytime. Unless it's just for the five-year guys, and if that's the case, then... booooo.

Anyway! "What I Learned on My Wonderland Vacation"... I'm way less likely to drown now! Thanks, Jo. [ ... ] Uh, I know way too much about a lot of your personal lives, which is... gross, sometimes. There are kids here, people. [ Some of you are just nasty. ] I figured out exactly how much molten chocolate cake I can down before I get sick. That's three, and I'd say they're all big accomplishments. ... Except that middle one.

[ There are a bunch of other things, too, but her attention is already wandering and she yawns to prove it. ]

Haha! Yeah, probably. I can't make a hundred percent guarantee, but I'm pretty sure she'd beat hers. And then maybe mine. I can't put anything past her, 'cause once you do, grandma laws basically mean she'll prove it wrong.

[ Ellie, who never knew her grandparents and doesn't know many who've survived in their world, just has to nod and accept his conclusion at face value. ]

"Grandma laws?" [ She questions lightly, amused. ] Well, she sounds like somebody we could use here. Think she'd be able to find us a way back?

If she showed up today and I was like, "abuelita, there's no way you can hit the Queen of Hearts in the face with a vacuum!" Then the grandma law means that she'd be doing it a week later. Truly seniors are the greatest source of our power.

Cool. [ Truly, his abuelita sounds like a mighty badass. ] Well, if she shows up, I've got pretty high expectations.

Abuelita never disappoints. [ He'd totally high-five Ellie if this were in person. ] I guess her mirror would have to be crazy bonkers evil, though.

Are they always evil clones, though? I mean, mine's more just... weird than evil. I think sometimes, they're just different.

[ She hopes. Running into an evil version of herself isn't high up on the list of things she wants to do in Wonderland. ]

I dunno, dawg. Maybe. Like I guess if they were always evil, they'd just be called evil clones. "Mirrors" leaves room for a lot more abstract stuff. What if someone's mirror is basically exactly the same, only they love nachos instead of pizza because it's a huge deal?

That's what I mean! I think some of them are like that, where they're just a tiny bit different, but the rest is the same.

[ Sometimes, having them be more like an 'evil clone' makes them seem more comical. Sometimes, it's intensely disturbing. ]

[ He laughs a little. ]

That's way creepier than any regular evil twin! Maybe we should invest in crazy tattoos for if ours tries to swap lives with us, huh?

You'd have to make sure they never saw them, though, or they could just copy the tattoos. [ Ellie notes sagely. ] Maybe really small ones, then? That'd be pretty cool!
