Last seen: On the roof, giant-sized. Before that he was hornet-sized. Basically he's never just right, it's very Goldilocks.

Characteristics: Puts his foot into his mouth. Metaphorically. Stumbles over his feet. Literally.

Suspicions: If he shrunk down again, he might have been sat on. Or eaten. Or been trapped under an upturned teacup. He fits, I tried.

Reward upon safe return: I'll take him off your hands, you won't need to pay me.

Why does that happen so often?? People who can't take care of themselves are the worst about trying to save other people.

Because people with any sense of self-preservation don't go out of their way to take care of others.

Does yours keep talking about how he's gonna save you?

Not this one, but I have one that does, yet. Talks a lot about the good I supposedly have in me.

I ain't so sure.

Nothing's really that black and white. I'm not a good person. I can do good things. Might have done a few.

How can you tell what the difference is?

Doesn't doing good things make you a better person?

Once you've been as bad as I've been, it'd take a lot to outweigh that.

Besides, honestly? Bare a few exceptions, being bad is much more fun.

And it's okay to live like that? In some kind of middle-place?

No matter what the heroes think, it's impossible to live completely on either side.

So you're saying it's ok if maybe you don't always want to be saved when people try to save you.

Yeah.

But I also think people shouldn't waste their time trying to save people that don't want to be saved.

I say that a lot.

The people who like to do the saving never listen.

It's how they work. Only way to stop that is to make them stop caring about you.

Not really. I never cared to have friends. Then I cared about one friend. Sometimes as little as I could manage.

Also, he really can't look out for himself.

Oh, that's for sure. Never met a grownup who isn't a total mess with some glossy nail polish over it.

Feel I'm lacking the polish, but pretty much.

Let's say, Ray acts first and worries about the how later. Or lets someone else deal with it if they don't want him to end up dead.

Yeah, well it gets chipped sometimes.

Well when you put it that way, your dumb friend sounds a lot like me. I'll try not to be offended :P
