[ooc: tw for body horror/decapitation. set after this. open to fourth walls given this happens the same night as the throne-room party.]
[Peter has no idea how to do this. He's still shaking, hunched in a corner, having tried to contact Bonnie only to get no response, because she's probably just passed out. It's late. He figures no matter what people want to know about this. They deserve to know. He would want to know if someone he cared about here died (ha).
He has seen dead people before. He held his Uncle Ben in his hands while he died. He was there when Captain Stacy took his final breaths, but there is something else- There is something different about stumbling on someone's head detached from their body on the floor after the action is all done in the silence when he only expects to stumble on nothing. It's different to then realize he recognizes who they are, and now he's hunched over his network device, stuck to a corner of his own room.]
If you know Faith, I found her. She died. I'm sorry.Her
She's Her body and head
She's
Her body is in my room right now. I don't know what happened. I mean she was murdered but I don't know how or who. I just found her. Also I didn't clean stuff up down there but there's blood and stuff. [stuff being his own vomit. he still feels sick.]

action;
You're only going to make it worse. Behave.
[ Oren whines, but continues to roll. ]
action;
...Hey. I like your dog.
[It's said with a little smile as he walks up upon them as Oren whines and rolls. Animals are so pure.]
action;
[ Sensing the possibly for pats, or treats (!!), Oren scrambles to his feet and trots over to Peter. ]
If you feed him, he will absolutely never leave you alone. [ Robyn advises. ]
action;
Uh oh. Sounds dangerous. [He smirks lightly in amusement.]
Kinda makes me want to get some food for him. What does he eat anyway? He's a big guy.
action;
[ And he won't get fat, either. Too many treats will make you fat, pup, no matter how much you like them. ]
action;
[HE IS SO CUTE THO]
action;
[ She chuckles lightly, waiting by the doors until Peter's had his fill of attending to her spoiled hound. ]
I had one at home, but he didn't come through with me.
action;
[Peter heads over her way with a sideways smile]
Yeah. Bet the vendors might have the one direct from home but that means giving up a memory. It's kinda why I avoid them completely.
action;
[ Not only because of her death, but because Thedas simply doesn't have all the same things within it. ]
That's true. [ Robyn confirms thoughtfully, pushing open the doors and starting off. ] I haven't traded anything away to them, either. I don't think that there's much I would trade one of my memories for, especially since you can't choose which to lose.
action;
[Because Peter couldn't help but notice the way that was phrased, and he shifts slightly on his feet.]
Exactly. I mean if it was really important, I'd do it, but I haven't found anything that's worth losing something. Memories are too important. [Even if he could choose, it'd have to be something very small like waking up some morning, but the vendors likely want bigger memories, and all his bigger memories are important.
he'd change without them.]
action;
[ She isn't about to tell him about her death, depressing conversation as that is. ]
They are. [ And, as he's thinking it: ] We wouldn't be... ourselves, really, if we were without them. Even ones that seem little make us who we are.
action;
[Peter is no master at reading people when he's in his best state of mind so he accepts the smoothness with ease.]
That's what's scary about being here sometimes as much as I like it. You lose your memories even if you don't sell them away, right? [It's what people have said. An event comes from their world. It rushes in and then... just like that.]
action;
That's... true. [ Her face falls a tiny bit. At the moment, she's leading him toward the woods, pressing through into the trees. ] Were you in Wonderland when the caves opened up? When people went beneath the ground?
[ If it's vague, it's purposefully so: advertising it as "when people died from the taint" or "encountered monstrous darkspawn" isn't a pretty phrase. ]
action;
I heard a lot of it went sideways.
action;
[ With only one (questionable) cure. ]
I know many died from the taint. No treasure is worth that.
action;
It sounds terrible. [infected with the blight. it's not a disease like he's ever heard before, but it wouldn't be if it's from her own world. hell, there could be very magical diseases out there given the magic in other people's worlds. he didn't even think of that.]
action;
[ The allure of adventure and treasure is always too strong, apparently.
Then, they step out of the trees and into a clearing. The canopy overhead provides some shadow, but most of it is a stretch of green, unoccupied and quiet, with the sky hanging over them. ]
It isn't much, but a friend showed me this place, once, and I... come here when I need some time to think. [ Or recover, or be alone. Robyn glances sideways at him. ] I hope you can find the same kind of peace here that I have.
action;
[If they wanted to go after treasure how ever dangerous, it was their choice, but he understands feeling responsible regardless.
His gaze drifts up to meet her own briefly after they've come into the clearing. He looks over it all, unoccupied, quiet. A smile pulls across his face, and he breathes in that quiet, that silence, that open space. that freedom of not having to worry.
His mouth parts, and he feels like he doesn't even know what to say. Something aches through his chest at how much this means to him and how terrible it is he can't explain that in words]
...thank you. [he reaches out, his hand rests against her arm, briefly, gently, in hopes of expressing what he can't find words to say]
action;
Robyn eyes his reaction subtly, not quite staring, and admits a soft smile when he reaches out. She covers his hand with her own, squeezing briefly before releasing it. ]
You're welcome. [ The Warden replies. ] ... I think it would defeat the purpose if I stayed here with you, so I'll go back. [ beat ] If there's anything else I can do...
[ He'd found a decapitated woman, after all. The least she can do is try and ease some of that burden. ]
