[Souji's sitting on his couch with several books stacked beside him and origami cranes lining the window sill behind him. He's not looking directly at the camera when the feed comes on, but the way he sits back a little as it starts indicates that he turned it on intentionally.
He's quiet for a few seconds, as though he's listening to something. Then he looks at the device, pensive.]
How much should someone worry about the future? Or is the present more important?
[He isn't addressing anyone in particular, but he sounds like he needs a second (actually a seventh) opinion on this.]

Sherlock, be nice.
[He's pulling out a notepad and pencil from his pocket, though, throwing Souji and apologetic look.]
no subject
[Just to clear that up. And for future reference, since they're bothering to take notes.]
I should just show you.
[He holds out one hand, palm upward, and a blue spinning card appears in the air. He grabs it out of the air and a very large gold dragon appears in the air above him.]
This is a Persona.

Staring at a dragon now. Projector? No. Drug induced hallucination? Not likely. Real? Fairly possible.
Rather liked the idea of dragons as a child.]
Is it functional?
no subject
Is that... That's a real dragon?
[Excuse him. It was fairly easy to look over the whole "magic" issue with the rooms, but besides that this is his first encounter with anything remotely supernatural in any sense.]

[Souji is debating just how forthcoming to be. You'd think you could trust Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, but you never know.]
He's called Kohryu.
[As for a demonstration... He has the Persona cast Ziodyne, a powerful electrical attack, on the fountain behind him, sending some of the ice and snow up as steam. The Persona fades and disappears once Souji dismisses it.]
Niko will do cartwheels if she actually got anything right at all XDDD
Game face on, though, because so does he.]
Combat based manipulation of metaphysical mater contained within the human body and explained by the existence of a soul. You're obviously from a contemporary, modern world by your clothes, height and basic language skills yet you fight with the magical equivalent of bare hands--an extension of yourself which can hurt and be hurt. Not exactly fitting with modern aged weaponry's attempts at unmanning the battle field. Interesting progression of combat tactics. Evolutionary explanations of a weaponized soul would be reasonably acceptable, even the existence of it still in a small population makes sense given some humans can still be born with tails even; however, when you introduced yourself you said 'my name is Souji' but 'he's called Kohryu'--interesting choice in words. You didn't name him Kohryu, did you? He came with a name.
That right then wasn't actually your soul, was it? You said they called your soul empty. You're a vessel. That dragon is a source of power which is taking residence where a normal human's soul would be if they existed. Hm. So this Kohryu is something you've somehow gotten on your side, bent to your will or is willing to obey. You're not exactly intimidating so the latter.
First, of course, am I wrong so far? Dealing with things outside normal human psychics hasn't been a specialized subject for me.

Wa-Hold on a minute...!
[The protest falls on deaf ears, as usual. John resists rolling his eyes skyward in frustration. Quickly, the doctor starts scribbling the notes in short hand, looping back and jotting down the beginning few observations once there is a diminishing in the flow of words from Sherlock's mouth. He glances over at Souji, eyes darting to the space the dragon used to occupy.]
... What exactly do you fight against with a weaponized soul?

Most Personas take the form and name of something that already exists. If a Persona is a mirror, the form it takes is a reflection of the user's true self.
[Answering John's question is surprisingly a little more difficult.]
At home, we used our Personas to fight Shadows inside the TV world.
no subject
So the Persona has an individual existence with a form somewhat dependent on the vessel it inhabits?
[He pulls out his little magnifying slider and walks around him, looking at him for signs of abnormality. This will take more specialized equipment....]
Where exactly is your soul?
no subject
Shadows... inside the "TV world".
[Okay, this was very confusing. John glances over at Sherlock, and decides to leave the questions up to the detective for now; he's had more experience interacting with people from other worlds, after all...]

A Persona can change, if the user changes enough. [Which isn't really an answer to either question, but whatever.]
no subject
John, what's your medical opinion on this? If Souji is physically and genetically human, could this be replicated?
no subject
...I'm not really sure I can judge that. It sounds like all the variables are related to the unique individual... Hard to replicate, I'd imagine.

Thank you for the demonstration. We'll be in contact.
