[The feed comes to life and Leonard's sitting in his room, mostly illuminated by candle-light, which does soften the still visible bruises (as a result of this) on his face a little. He's playing with a lighter in one hand, turning it, palming it and flipping it open and shut, but never actually lighting it.

Mostly he looks at the camera, both eye by now able to open fully again.]

Time doesn't really seem to do much in the way of passing here, but things happen anyway. So, guess this is still a worthwhile question.

You got any resolutions?

[Which of course also begs the question whether he has any himself. He looks as if he wants to keep talking at first, but his mouth stays shut and he looks off past the camera, the flame of a candle reflected in his eyes. Finally he cuts off the video.]

[He doesn't seem to mind Maya making herself at home, although he rolls his eyes at them both as he leans against the wall, one hand in his pocket.]

You hear that? First aid? This happened days ago, ain't nothing "first" about it.

It's just bruises. Gonna be gone in a couple more days. I've had worse, these don't even hurt.

[Riley huffs when he says that, before amending what she was saying:]

Second aid then. What if any of this helps it get better faster than that couple of days?

[Maya raises her eyebrows, and extends both palms to Len in an open apology.]

It'll be faster if you just let her do what she wants. She's the boss.

Unless you got some make-up to cover it up, I think we're fresh outta luck on that score.

[He definitely doesn't look at all receptive.]

[Riley turns to Maya, a grin s l o w l y becoming more and more apparent.]

Maya. Maya, you know what we gotta do right.

[Maya snorts, keeping her eyes focused on Len.]

I've used make-up before, when I was in school and didn't want too many questions. Really thought I was past this about thirty years later. Trust me, I'm fine being a bit less pretty for a few days.

[He was the one that brought up makeup to teenage girls. Sometimes these things happen.]

But if you don't want makeup, I have an icepack too. And other stuff. It's a well-stocked second aid kit!

[Well-stocked? Maya swings it open, absently fussing through the contents.]

If it's so well-stocked, where's the emergency doritos?

Mom and dad never kept emergency doritos, though.

[She made sure she got exactly everything they'd put in the kit, okay.]

Really? My grandma keeps extra teeth in ours. There's not supposed to be a compartment for food?

Take it from a professional: If your second aid box doesn't have doritos, it's worthless.

['Leave me alone.' wasn't going to go over well, so he needed an alternative.

He still wants to talk to Maya about Mick too, because he has a feeling that they talked more where he couldn't follow it and he's concerned about that. Should have followed up sooner, but he'd been preoccupied with dark thoughts in a more self-involved way.]

[She's the good one that would gladly just sit in her room with her hands folded on her lap rather than getting into and causing tons of trouble (MAYA). But still.]
