[That's a good question. Stefan's not entirely sure, given that he doesn't even remember his past. If he wanted to know, that choice had been there.

I don't know. If time's stopped here, like you said, then I wouldn't be able to act on that knowledge back home.

That, and I'm also not the same person who's waiting for everyone back home. Our time here's changed us, hasn't it? Our conversations and relationships aren't going to be the same, because back home, we don't remember this place.

[A tearoom was more casual than the dining room and closer to the library and ground floor if need be. Most of the people lived on the lower floors, so he wouldn't want to make anyone trek up the stairs too high.]
