[Today’s little network post opens with the camera pointed toward a festive little booth outside the mansion. Its purpose seems clear enough, but just in case you don’t get it, don’t fret! Because here is a handsome robot to turn the camera onto his face and explain it to you!]

Hello beauties and gentlebeauties! As you are all probably aware, today is Valentine’s day! For those who may not be in the know, it is a holiday devoted to love and the expression of love! Pink and red hearts, delicious chocolates, heartfelt confessions, secret passions; today is the day for it all!

[Here he adjusts the device so it is sitting on the booth and you can see his outfit clearly, as he props up his chin with his hands and flashes the camera a coquettish grin.]

Now, some of us have a special someone to spend this beautiful day with, and that is wonderful! For those of Wonderland who aren’t so lucky and feeling down about not getting that special Valentine’s Day kiss- never fear, for your favorite star is here! Come on down to the gardens and, if the price is right, you’ll get to experience these luscious lips for yourself~!

[He’s certainly put on a shiny red lipstick for the occasion…]

The price is, of course, anything Valetine’s day themed that you think I will like! There’s no currency here, so regular money just won’t do darlings! Impress me with something really extravagant, and your kiss may be extra special!

[He blows a kiss for the camera and it switches off.]

I'm guessing most of them don't even care about Valentine's day. Pity.

[A robot, the annoying girl, and Mettaton's ghost friend. Clearly, that's not enough attention the robotic diva deserves, and Dorian knows this.]

Three people? Is that all who showed up before me? Oh, you poor thing!

I know! It's a travesty all around!

[Mettaton is eating up this attention, and it's a second gift on top of the lovely gift Dorian has already given him.]

The life of a star surrounded by people who don't appreciate your talents is a hard one.

[He gives Dorian a sweet smile as he puts a gentle hand on the man's cheek.]

At least you understand, Dorian, dear. A monster can always count on you. And you can count on me to return the favor.

[He continues to cup his face as he leans forward to capture Dorian's lips in a sweet kiss. He lingers there for a moment, letting them both savor it and allowing Dorian to feel how surprisingly soft his metal lips are, then pulls away.]

Happy Valentine's day, darling.

[Dorian's savoring the kiss, alright. It's an entirely new sensation, to feel something so human and machine all at once. There was nothing like it.]

[Dorian's grins when he finally pulls away.]

[Mettaton chuckles a little. This has been one of the more enjoyable moments of an otherwise ordinary Valentine's day. He leans back into the booth, happy to keep chatting with a good friend.]

[He subtly glanced around to make sure there were no eavesdroppers...]

I was wondering about something I saw on the Network earlier today. Do you mind if I ask you about it?

[Color him intrigued! Mettaton leans in to make sure only they can hear each other.]

[He leans in as well, making sure not to speak too loud.]

Is it true that Zacharie has his heart set on dear Sucre? I wasn't sure where you got the information.

[He seems curious, but maybe there's a good reason for it?]

[...now THAT was a question Mettaton wasn't expecting! He lowers his voice even more.]

...Before I answer this question, I have to ask one of my own: why do you want to know this?

[If it is for idle gossip's sake, he'll have to abstain. After all, Zacharie did tell him to stop.]

[Looks like Mettaton might have been told to keep his mouth shut. Dorian has his own secrets that would likely make Zacharie want to whack him on the head with a baseball bat.]

Well, Sucre happens to be a friend of mine as well. She is a rather sweet woman, indeed.

But you know how some people can get jealous, right? If Zacharie does wish to court her, I don't want him to get the wrong idea.

[Or would Zacharie have been right in that case? It's rather unclear.]

[Oh. Now it's all making sense.]

So you want to know if she's free to flirt with, hm?

[He hadn't even know that Dorian had been approaching her!]

Perhaps, but I wouldn't mind simply being her friend if she's already taken.

[He could easily turn his advances to other beings in Wonderland, like Mettaton himself for instance. Now, that would be a fun date.]

Well... I cannot say that he is "courting her" in all senses of the word.

[Since courting requires active intentions with someone, and Zacharie is a bump on a log.]

But the chance for him to be jealous if he sees you with her is very, very high. So I would tread with caution.

[It's the closest he can get to keeping his word to Zacharie and still warning Dorian away.]

[Dorian considers this, then nods.]

So, [He speaks louder now, since he's finished with that topic.] are you going to be available later on?

Well, I've been scheduled to join Coraline and Frisk in their Valentine's day heralding from door to door, though they call it "Pal-entine's day". After that, Frisk and I are due to hang out for awhile. But if that doesn't soak up the rest of the day, then yes I should be available!

[Look at this star! Such a full calendar for today!]

[Dorian didn't expect anything less from a person of such high regard.]

Well, maybe you could join me for a few drinks later on? I don't mind if we have to postpone until tomorrow.
