I have a question of a somewhat philosophical nature, if anyone feels they might indulge me.

[There is a reason he chooses to use an audio only medium for this. While Regis is ordinarily very gregarious, there are certain topics in which it is best that others do not see his reaction to what they say.]

What do you believe makes someone - or something - a monster? It may be a simple answer, or perhaps not so simple. I lean towards the latter.

Mm.. I am familiar with the concept of 'mutants', but I don't believe that we would be talking about the same thing.

Probably not. I'm pretty sure they're only in my world. Big fellas, green and angry. Like smashing things and eating people.

I know of a similar creature, but we call them trolls. Best kept away from, to be quite honest - even the most benevolent ones will not think twice about eating a human.

Trolls, huh? I haven't heard of anything like that outside of comic books. But then it kind of makes sense that somewhere that has real live vampires would have them too.

And many other creatures, besides, but I would not wish to turn this into a lesson in zoology. Though, I'm not entirely certain that I find the comparison to be flattering.

[At least he sounds amused.]
