If you could travel to any point in history, where and when would you go, and why?

Also, if you could travel to any point in your own personal history, your lifetime... Same questions.

Not like being dead before we got here means a lot, though, does it? I'd tried being dead several times before Wonderland took me in, and it seems like neither of us were too good at getting it to stick.
