We're already in some magical land that makes our dreams come true - mostly the bad ones - so let's think about the impossible some more.
[Leonard may be calling it "impossible" mostly to heckle one specific Brit, given he's travelled through time himself, but maybe it will also flush out other time travellers. May be interesting.]
If you could travel to any point in history, where and when would you go, and why?
Also, if you could travel to any point in your own personal history, your lifetime... Same questions.
Would you try to change anything?
[He has experience with trying and the resulting failure too.]

[Cause he's Captain Cold, get it?]
Besides, I've been here almost a year.
text.
guess it's true that you can get used to just about anything given enough time
text.
[Is he kidding? Probably.]

Will that be before or after the ghosts of Hanukkah past come visit me?
text.
that's the jewish holiday around the same time as christmas, right? my knowledge of human religions is a little sketchy
text.
Yeah. Different lore, around the same time. I'm Jewish, technically. Goes by the mother.
Never really been religious, but anyway.
text.
huh. that's pretty cool. i didn't think earth had very many matrilineal things at all
text.
Used to have more, from what I gather. Minoans were big on it, until whatever wiped them out happened. Judaism is a pretty old religion, blood is important, going by the mother is the sure way to tell that someone really is from the same bloodline.
text.
i knew a little about the minoans thanks to the time i spent with the amazons, but those two were the only real ones i'd heard of.
that's a really interesting point about bloodlines. krypton was patriarchal, at least in that there were a lot of left over vestiges from old times before gender equality. surnames for kryptonian women are patronyms--zor-el was my father's name. zor of the house of el. but it would make more sense, if you're concerned about bloodlines, to have it go through the person you know can't lie about whether or not they were involved in a person's conception
text.
Amazons, huh? I only read different theories about them, but I'm guessing you got actual experience. Do share.
You'd think it'd make more sense. I gather it was relatively common back when and as men took over, everyone stopped doing the logical thing. Not that surprisingly, I guess.
text.
the amazons were created by the gods out of clay, given strength and might beyond that of mortal men. they lived on an island called themyscira or paradise island. i trained and lived with them for a while when i first came to earth
you know, i think you're the first person i've ever heard to call men illogical like that
text.
Damn. See, that's the fun kind of fantastic. I'd want more of that.
Men bend the laws of nature when they indicate that they're not the ones supposed to be in charge. Can't get much more illogical than that.
text.
i'll let you know if any of them ever show up here
good point
text.
So, technical question. The sun here, it does the same for you as the one on Earth?
text.
text.
text. ... why are you awake isn't it butt o'clock on your side of the globe?
text. sent a tag bomb just before sleeping
text. ahhh that makes sense
