I do hate to interrupt, [ comes the voice behind the network's latest entry. his voice is weighted down heavily by a distinct brand of southern drawl — georgia flavor, to those able to recognize it ] but seein' as I won't be goin' anywhere any time soon, I do believe proper introductions are in order. The name's Henry, and I hail from a small town called Purgatory. It was 2017, last I checked, but I don't suppose dates mean much in a "wondrous" place such as this.

[ yeah, the alice in wonderland references are completely lost on a man who missed out on not only the book's publishing, but all the disney adaptations that followed it. ]

You wouldn't happen to know if things you were... say, tethered to in your previous, less than wonderful life are still that way in this one, would you? I'm also interested in hearing what one does in Wonderland, other than wait for one of these so-called "events" to crop up, of course. A man of my specific skillset could get awful bored mighty fast without something worthwhile to entertain him.

I'm from a town called Sanctuary, so I'm liking the juxtaposition.

I work out a lot - running along the beach or by the lake, mostly. I practise my shooting, and I've started cooking quite a bit too.

Purgatory and Sanctuary. I'm sure they'd make quite the pair.

I'm sure they would. [She can't help but think it's a little more than coincidence, that it's the sort of places that Wonderland would find amusing to throw together and see what happened.]

Here, just targets. Back in my own world, anything that moved and looked like it was going to hurt or shoot me back. Raiders, radscorpions, yao guai - you name it.

I can relate somewhat to that, but forgive me for not knowin' what these "radscorpions" or "yao guai" [ he probably butchered that pronunciation a bit ] are.

Sorry - I keep forgetting not everyone's from my world. [ Even though she's only had to get used to them herself for a few months before arriving here. ] Radscorpions are exactly like scorpions, except a hundred times bigger. As for yao guai ... it's a bear, but far more fierce. They won't stop at anything when they attack. Both pretty deadly.

That's definitely the best plan. [ And something that she'd had to get used to pretty quickly. ] 'Shoot first and ask questions later' is a pretty good motto where I come from.

Often is where I'm from, as well.
