Fourth Consensus Redux (Video)
(As always, to those unfamiliar with them, Legion will seem calm. To those who know them well enough, however, the flashing lights and fluttering headflaps tell a different story.)

How did you know Miss Shepard?
[Toriel just... she doesn't know. Doesn't want to just end the conversation and be alone just yet. Wants to hear more about Jane. Is just kind of curious.]

(A pause. Their frantic and continuous movements settle a bit.)
Has Shepard Commander informed you of the war with the Old Machines?
(Might as well establish what she knows. It will make explaining easier.)

[Not so many shades of grey to worry about, when the enemy is an incomprehensible force of building sized ships bent on exterminating all life.]

This platform was created to gather data related to Shepard-Commander. We "retraced her steps" until evidence of her death was encountered, and we were assigned the mission of monitoring Heretic activities. Later, we encountered her alive inside of a derelict Reaper despite evidence of her death. Despite protests from multiple crew members, she allowed us to join the Normandy crew.
(A brief pause, and then.)
Previously, we mentioned that a Human had assisted us in saving our people. That Human is Shepard-Commander. When the Creators attacked us, she intervened.

War with the Old Machines was unanticipated.
Spectres have limited oversight. Tasks could be completed by whatever method she desired.
(It's not all fighting wars, Toriel.)
