[When the video clicks on, at first only Mettaton is visible. After a few quick seconds, however, it becomes obvious that he is standing in an empty room. There is nothing remarkable about it in any way, shape, or form. It has four walls, all stark white, and one wall with a window and one wall with a door. All in all, with how utterly unremarkable it is, Mettaton looks almost comically out of place.

The look of empty sadness on his face is the only thing that matches the room.]

Wonderland, have you ever felt an absence? As if one day your heart is whole, the next, something important in your life, something you always thought would be there, is gone?

[He means both literal and figurative in his case, but he knows he's in the minority on that front. He turns to look out the window, facing away from the camera.]

It's like a piece of you is missing. Like you'll never be quite full ever again.

[He pauses. He doesn't want to speak this into reality, even as the reality bores in on him as bright and biting as the walls around him.]

I'm sure that those of you that knew her will understand my feelings when I say that... Alphys is gone.

[His voice crackles with static.]

And I don't think she is coming back.

[ They've never met in person, but this is just who Snow is as a person. So, as Mettaton approaches, she offers him a warm smile and then he's just wrapped up in a hug. It doesn't matter that she doesn't know him, he's in pain, and he doesn't deserve to feel so alone.

When she pulls back, she sits. ]

You're welcome. And even though something sad led to us meeting for the first time, I think, maybe, we can understand each other, at least a little. If nothing else, I'm a pretty good listener.

[She pulls him into a hug and it's so real and genuine that he can't help but to lean into it a bit, enjoying the contact. She's sweet. So terribly sweet. They're perfect strangers and yet she is so unfailingly kind. He could only wish for that kind of warmth.

When she pulls away and sits he joins her, smiling even as he wants to start crying again.]

I think we can too. Or at least try. Though I think first, introductions are in order.

[He does a small hair flip and tries to put on that old Mettaton sparkle, with limited success.]

I don’t know if I can top an introduction like that. [ She smiles softly. ]

I’m Snow White. And I suppose if we’re being formal, my title would be Queen of the Realm of Mist Haven.

[Mettaton chuckles.]

I'm an entertainer, so I'm used to introducing myself in a grandiose way.

[Though when Snow says she's a queen, his eyes widen.]

Well! I thank you for your presence, Your Majesty! It's quite the honor.

[There's real respect there, but just a tiny bit of teasing as well.]

Where is Mist Haven? I don't think I have ever heard of that place.

Oh, please, I'm no queen here, but you can be an entertainer anywhere.

[ She smiles softly at him, unsure of how to explain where exactly Mist Haven is. ]

I think it's a realm all on its own. To get there from the modern world you need a portal. It's not easy to explain, really. But it's where all the people from Earth's fairytales live. Mostly.

Earth's fairytales?

[He blinks a bit, surprised, but then a dawn of recognition flickers over his face.]

Like Cinderella?

[That's like. the only fairy tale he knows please be gentle with him.]

Is that where you are from?

Exactly like Cinderella. In fact, my grandson is married to her. Well, a version of her.
