[Souji's sitting in the grass somewhere on the grounds. A fat gray dragon about the size of a schnauzer with very useless little wings is wandering around behind him. He's looking back at her before turning to the camera with a pensive expression.]

If this war turns out to be an actual war, what should we do about our pets?

[He figures they'll just have to be kept out of the way, but it worries him. He's had that dragon for over five years now, and she was a gift from someone important. He's sure everyone else with a pet feels the same way.]

Should we...I don't know, designate someone to look after them?

[ Her eyes follow the dragon warily for a while. She doesn't like the look of that thing when it could potentially hurt her precious Souji. ]

It's not going to eat you in your sleep, is it?

I've had her a long time. I think if she were going to, she already would have.

[She might be fat, but she's not really big enough to eat him.]

[ He says this, but she's still frowning. ] I've heard of pets eating their dead owners. A dragon might not wait for death!

[ Still, if he's okay with it, she's not going to argue much. As long as he's happy. ♥ ]

Sorry. I guess I never saw you as the type to want something most people would consider deadly. Or...mythical.

[He smiles at that and shakes his head.]

She was a gift from someone important to me. That's why I have her.

[ ...Monika immediately hates this person. ]

[ Like he should've said no to this damn dragon because she could give much better and less deadly gifts!

Y'know. If she had a body again. ]

And if you're the one taking care of it, I'm sure it's the happiest dragon around~

Well, she's mostly the fattest dragon around...

[ Okay, she can't help a laugh. All of her intense hatred boils away.

Who's to say it's not normal for her? I mean, it's not like we have a veterinary standard for dragon weights.

[He smiles at her.]

She hasn't even eaten our rabbit, so I think everyone is safe from her.

That's...comforting! Ahaha!

[ Monika glances away, a wistful look on her face. It's so nice seeing him so happy, but her thoughts have turned down a terrible pathway. She can't help but wonder if Minato somehow spilled her secrets and Souji's only humoring her. It's exactly what she'd expect. He'd be too nice to outright be disgusted, after all.

She looks back at the screen and puts her smile back on, pushing down her worries as much as she can. It doesn't really work. They've been swarming in her head for weeks now. ]

I hope you can find someone to take care of her and your rabbit if anything happens.

[Don't worry, Monika! All he knows is that you have bad enough judgment to try to go on a date with Adachi.]

Hopefully it won't be an issue. Hopefully the "war" will be something...Wonderland-ish.

[Like dodgeball. He has no idea.]

Maybe it'll be like this one video game I know and we'll have to beat them at painting! First one who has the most of their color wins! [ The idea of it makes her giggle and calms her other thoughts. ] Not sure if we'd have to turn into squids, though.

Yeah, so they can swim around in the paint! I think they're called Inklings. They're so cute!

[ There's a pause. ]

Oh, sorry. This is a little after your time. Sorry for the spoilers~

Maybe I can find it in the library and play it.
