[Souji's sitting in the grass somewhere on the grounds. A fat gray dragon about the size of a schnauzer with very useless little wings is wandering around behind him. He's looking back at her before turning to the camera with a pensive expression.]
If this war turns out to be an actual war, what should we do about our pets?
[He figures they'll just have to be kept out of the way, but it worries him. He's had that dragon for over five years now, and she was a gift from someone important. He's sure everyone else with a pet feels the same way.]

Wouldn't that just make it easier for them to get hurt accidentally?

A giant dragon would probably be worse than a tiny one.

[He turns the camera toward the dragon for a moment. It's chasing a fly around like a cat might.
Turning the camera back toward himself, he looks thoughtful.]
She'd probably let me ride her, but I think it's much more likely that she'd just squash people. She's pretty fat.

[ ray just stares, and eventually cranes his head as if he can turn the camera back to watch some more. ]
That's the coolest pet I've seen here.
[ and being allergic to everything except scaled buddies, he is very jealous!!! ]

She was a gift from a friend who isn't here anymore. I think she's pretty cool, too.
[Even though she's currently rolling around in some dandelions like a dope.]

Wonderland doesn't even have to take our memories for that to happen.
