[Souji's sitting in the grass somewhere on the grounds. A fat gray dragon about the size of a schnauzer with very useless little wings is wandering around behind him. He's looking back at her before turning to the camera with a pensive expression.]

If this war turns out to be an actual war, what should we do about our pets?

[He figures they'll just have to be kept out of the way, but it worries him. He's had that dragon for over five years now, and she was a gift from someone important. He's sure everyone else with a pet feels the same way.]

Should we...I don't know, designate someone to look after them?

[One way or another, they'd have their hands full. Though that would depend on what actually ended up happening.]

I feel like this war is not exactly what it appears to be.

[But oh, well. "War" was war.]

Maybe we can leave them in our room with some food. Tefra can look after the others.

I doubt it will be. It's Wonderland after all.

[He nods at that suggestion.]

In the end, that may be what ends up happening. We just have to hope no Mirrors get any ideas.

We know who lives on the other side of our room. I doubt they'll do anything.

[And if they did, then there was going to be a very high price to pay for which he doubted the Mirrors would want to deal with.]

I wonder what would happen if we all agreed not to fight.

I don't know if the Mirrors would be able to do that.

[Queen of Hearts and all.]

But no one's actually tried it yet. Do we know of Mirrors being undone permanently?

[Then he wondered about something else.]

Does Alice have a Mirror?

I think there's been at least one Mirror who was undone and remade.

[He tilts his head at the second question.]

I...don't know. I'd never thought about it.

[But still remade. But not undone and never remade. Minato had to wonder why.]

Let's say we did end up like we did in that dream. Do the Mirrors still exist then and wouldn't we be more loyal to Wonderland at that point than the Mirrors would be?

[That is, if the Mirrors hadn't changed after all that time and still were alive.]

[Souji shook his head. He had no idea about those kinds of things.]

I guess it depends on if Mirrors...happen naturally, or if the Queen of Hearts intentionally makes one for each of us.

[That was true too. Minato nodded, petting Kumori when the rabbit hopped passed him.]

She claims to make them, but we don't know that for sure.

Right. I think it's always best to take what she says with a grain of salt.

[Even the stuff about souls.]

We have to take this whole place with a grain of salt.

[Minato leaned his head on Souji's shoulder.]

Sorry. You were worried about Tefra-tachi, and I derailed us.

That's okay. [Souji smiled to himself.] Those are important things to talk about, too.

I still don't mind it here because it could be worse.

I know. [Souji leaned his head against Minato's.] I understand.

[Minato smiled at that, closing his eyes for a moment. Then he spoke again.]

Is that compliant? Some horrible things happen here. But I still want to stay.

I think it would only be compliant if you stopped caring.

I care if people get hurt. If they want to go home, that's fine. I don't mind staying since I can be here with you.

[Souji nodded.]

That's not compliance. It's pragmatism.

[Minato liked how that was worded better.]

Then I'll think of it that way.

[Souji smiled and sat up straight again as Tefra came over carrying the bunny by the scruff of its neck.]

Kumori probably doesn't like that.

[He gently reached to take the bunny.]

[Minato petted Tefra once separated from the bunny, then picked her up.]

It sounds like they want to go inside. Let's eat?

[That would probably make all of them feel better or like things were more normal.]

Mn.

[Souji got to his feet with Kumori in hand to head inside with Minato.]
