[ For a moment all that's heard is some grunting and probably a few obscene curses. He's still trying to figure the phone out, but that's because he's not familiar with it. Technology isn't Benny's strong suit in the slightest. He had a flip phone when him and Dean were talking, but he ditched that a long time ago. Getting anything fancier never really appealed to Benny. No need. This thing wasn't what he wanted to be shackled to at all.

Suddenly a fuzzy beard appears in frame and it's clearly speckled with spots of gray. There are a few more grunts as Benny finally arrives at the conclusion that this isn't just your run of the mill phone. Then again the only phones he's familiar with are the flip ones. This one's in a whole different league and dammit if it's not pissing him off.

He clears his throat quickly and finally becomes a little more visible on the screen. When he found this damn thing in his pocket he didn't know what to expect, but maybe he could get a hold of someone who could help him out. ] I don't think this damned thing is even workin', but if anyone's out there I could sure use a nudge in the right direction. A state would greatly appreciated. This house don't look too comfortin' and I'm itchin' to get the hell outta dodge.

[ A vampire. That's interesting. Her study of his face is slightly more calculating this time, if only because it's been a while since she's run into a vamp. Meg's never really had a problem with other supernatural beings. Mostly, she's just ignored them. Not really worth the trouble, not like humans with their weaknesses and fears that she can exploit. ]

What can I say, I'm a flatterer. Vampire, huh? Don't get many of those around this place. [ And really, she isn't complaining. There's the possibility of shaking things up a bit with a vamp running around the place. ] As far as I know, you're the only one. Lucky you.

[ He's met a few demons in his time, but they've always sort of brushed Benny's kind off. Just because he can't pop in and out of bodies don't mean he's not capable of handling himself. He's getting a feeling that she might be a touch different than the other bastards he's come into contact with. A helluva lot prettier too. Just his opinion though.

He really was hoping there wouldn't be too many of his kind running around the place. It gets real crowded when you got more than one vamp in the same place. Tensions get real bad and it's hard to keep it all under wraps at times. ] Pardon me if I don't do a little dance of happiness. I'll save it for another time. [ There will be no dancing just so we're clear. Last time Benny danced was with Andrea before the Old Man found them. ] How exactly does one become semi-retired from demon stuff?

[ She can appreciate some good sarcasm, especially in this place. Surrounded by bleeding hearts with nothing but good intentions (ugh) has been one hell of a boring ride. The only perk? Seems like half the people she throws her own sarcastic remarks at just don't get it. Hilarious.

His question is slightly surprising, since nobody's actually asked her that one before. She always just chalked it up to one of those things that just happen but now she's scratching her head about it. The whole straddling the grey area thing has been a source of frustration from time to time. ]

A lot of reasons. Mostly when the Apocalypse went bust, I became number one on Hell's Most Wanted list. Living a life on the run doesn't give much time to keep up my typical mischief making ways. [ 'Mischief', as though she were just running around playing tricks. ] The whole 'kill them before they kill me' idea wasn't panning out, so hooked up with a couple of hunters and babysat an angel.

[ And it's clearly more complicated than that, but really who has time for a long, drawn out story? Ain't nobody got time for that. ]

[ Benny's trip to the good side was because of a woman. Everyone has to have some sort of reasoning for switching sides so late in the game. Sometimes it's self preservation, money or if you're lucky it's love. Love made Benny reconsider living the way he did and once he saw how good humanity could be--there was no going back. He's curious as to what could possibly make a demon like her hang up her guns. It ain't an easy transition and the decision don't come lightly.

He wasn't around for that whole Apocalypse dance. That was Dean and Sam's gig. Benny was having himself a good time down in Purgatory. Apparently things were going nuts topside. His brow went up when she spoke of babysitting an angel. The only angel that ran with the Winchester's (who he was assuming were the hunters) was Casitel. Playing babysitter for him ain't easy. ] I'm guessin' that angel has big blue eyes and dirty trench coat? He's a real fun guy. [ That's sarcasm because talking to Casitel is like talking to drying paint. He's a good guy when he's not being an asshole, but he's boring as hell. ]

I missed that whole Apocalypse stuff though. I was doin' time in Purgatory. That's where I met Dean and that pretty little angel of his.

[ It's not so surprising to hear he knows Castiel - if he's familiar with the Winchesters, then obviously he would have had the pleasure of making Clarence's acquaintance. From his tone, she can guess that particular angel left his usual impression.

The mention of Purgatory has her head cocking just the slightest to the side. Despite being allies of a sort with Dean, they were nowhere near bosom buddies or girlfriends so her curiosity about that adventure hasn't really been quenched.

And Dean making friends with a vampire? That's a new one on her. Interesting. ]

Another escapee from Purgatory, huh? [ That's no easy feat, from what she knows of the place. ] Bet this place is a vacation compared to that hot mess.

[ Benny isn't sure he would call it a pleasure though. He appreciated the guys devotion to Dean, but beyond that they weren't really friends to begin with. It was more a quiet toleration for the sake of Dean while they were in Purgatory. He had no beef with the vampire as long as he kept his smiting to a limited amount. He didn't count on that holding weight when they got topside. Least he thought that would be the case.

She was right though. In the short time he's been here it's proving to be easier to handle. If he was still in vampire he'd be getting torn apart by vampires or at the very least running from some. Monsters attacked whenever they wanted to especially against a monster that had already gotten out.

Benny just smiles thought and tilts his head. He had a mouthful to say about Purgatory, but he decided to just keep it to himself. Not everyone wanted him rattling on about that place. ] No one's tried to kill me so that gives it a big plus. How you likin' it?

I've seen worse. [ Hah, understatement. ] Not a whole lot of hunting down the supernatural types in this place. We've got plenty of 'em around.

[ Like dragons and angels and what have you. She hasn't taken a census in the place, but she would bet a dollar that hardly anyone here would blink at a vamp. Though, his presence does beg the question: ]

How you gonna handle that diet of yours? [ Honest curiosity here. People would probably get up in arms about the whole sucking blood thing. She's got no problem with it, personally, but then again there isn't much she does have a problem with. ]

Well, that's a relief. I'd hate to have to kill somebody on my first day for tryin' to cut my head off. Kinda makes people not like ya that much. [ Humor can help in these types of situations. By these types of situations he did mean hostage ones because essentially they were all hostages of this weird ass mansion.

She poses a good question and he's more than a little worried about that himself. He hasn't had much time to think about it, but he's got a few ideas up his sleeves. It'll get tricky with all these people around. ] I don't drink live and I'm hopin' I can find a generous donor. I seriously doubt I'll find one though. It's not exactly your typical job you advertise for.

Yeah, people get a little sensitive about that kind of thing. [ And 'sensitive' is putting it lightly. The mansion has its fair share of advocates of monsters apparently, but also some who wouldn't be so keen on them. ]

Oh, I don't know. Maybe you could just start posting 'Help Wanted' posters around, keep it anon. We've got all kinds in this place, so you might actually find yourself someone.
