01 Lantern | Text --> Video
[ She couldn't say she'd ever heard, read, or seen something like this happen before. It was strange. One minute she'd been finally experiencing that little piece of the world she could see from her tower, and then...well, then she was here. She doesn't even know where here is, really, and the only thing she knows for sure is that Flynn didn't seem to come along with her. She's kind of worried, so she fiddles around with her communicator while she tries to think of a plan. She has no idea what it does, but it's pretty neat! ]

[ And then she manages to switch from text to video without really realizing it, having a grand time fiddling around with the strange device. It was unlike anything she'd ever seen before! And it was a welcome distraction. For all she knew, there were thugs waiting outside the door... ]
Hey Pascal, what do you think this thing is supposed to do--Pascal? [ She looks to her shoulder where Pascal should have been, only to find that Pascal is nowhere to be found. Which wasn't good, it meant she was actually stuck here by herself. She could deal with Flynn being gone, she didn't know him very well as it was. But Pascal had been by her side for a long, long time and...who would give her advice? Help her along? Be there to listen and play games with her? ]
Okay, this isn't funny, Pascal. You can come out now. [ ... ] Pascal? ...Anyone?
[ She stands up quickly and starts to search around, hoping the little guy was just poking around the room she'd found herself in--but as a result she stops paying attention to her surroundings and runs into a set of chimes, toppling over with them and taking a few other instruments along for the ride.
The feed ends with a loud crash. Whoops??? ]

[action, if that's okay?]
... he is probably not the best person to be peaking in on Rapunzel, as he's very tall, dark and gloomy, but at least he's not a thief and a brigand?
In any event, hearing the noises, he opens the door from where they came and peers in. His first thought is that that is an extreme overabundance of hair. His is pretty long and scraggly, but these piles of golden hair really take the cake. It's only after that that he notices the poor girl in a heap of instruments. ]
... are you all right?
[action, that's fine! ]
Because he...was kind of intimidating. But she couldn't see any sharp, pointy teeth, so maybe he was okay? He wasn't attacking her or demanding her hair, so...
She gives him a nervous little smile, nodding as she starts to pull her hair closer, untangling anything that might be stuck as she goes. ]
Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little sore from the fall. [ Luckily there was enough hair around to help cushion her little tumble. ]

[ He watches her for several moments, still a bit taken aback by the hair, but ... well, he's seen stranger things. ]
... do you need any help?
no subject
But aside from looking kind of intimidating, he seems okay, so she holds the hair in her arms out for him to take. ] Well, could you hold this? Just for a minute, I need to get the rest of the tangles out. [ Because if she leaves this many in, it'll be a pain to brush later.
Annnnd, well, she thinks there might be a clarinet or something still stuck somewhere. ]

Are you okay?

Hello? Um--[ Yeah there is no one there... ] Are you a ghost?
video;
[ Not anymore, anyway, but he's not about to say that. He's just....going to stare at the floor for a bit. ]
I'm using a device to talk to you. It should be somewhere near where you are.

She's about to try and explain, but then the girl goes crashing into a set of instruments -- she's in the music room, then.
Martha could just go there, but she holds back, figuring that it might be embarrassing for someone to walk in on you when you're tangled up with a xylophone or whatever else it might be.]
It... sounds like you might need some help. Are you all right?
There's a moment's hesitation as she pokes at a few buttons, the video turning off and on a few times before she's finished. The strange, seemingly magical device was definitely something she would have to get used to. Not that she knows how to react to it. Should she speak louder, or can the person on the other end her just fine? ]
I'm fine! I'm--just a little lost, I guess.
[ Lost is the understatement of the century. ]
Someone needs to teach her how to properly use her PDA, and fast.]
Don't worry, everyone's lost when they first get here. Did you want me to come find you? I could... at least show you around, even if I can't get you home.

Hey, you okay over there?
[She can give the rundown after she's sure the girl doesn't have a concussion.]
Yeah, I don't think I hurt anything. I had a pretty soft landing.
[ And even if she had been hurt, she would have been able to heal herself easily enough. ]
[She's sympathetic, though. Showing up here can be pretty disorienting.]
New arrival, right? I'm Emma.

[Well, color Ruby worried. This looks like a pretty damn young girl, and that's worrisome enough on any given day in this place. Plus her clothes... Let's just say Ruby's reminded of the Enchanted Forest, and that's another bucket of worrisome, honestly.]
I'm afraid your friend probably isn't here, sorry.
But wouldn't he have come with me? [ He didn't usually leave her shoulder, so why... ]
[Ruby worries her lower lip a little, then shakes her head.]
I wouldn't bank on it. Sorry, sweetheart.

[The Once-ler's good deed for the day: Making sure this new arrival hasn't accidentally killed herself already, several threads too late. What a great guy.]
Re: Video
She's just going to quietly pretend that didn't happen. Yep.] Ah. What's key-smashing?
Video (with some text)
Yeah. Uh-huh. You look like you're doing a super great job not tripping over yourself over there.
And uh, keysmashing is that thing you did at the beginning. Where you just hit the buttons randomly? It kinda looks like this:
[And he switches to text briefly so he can show her:]
