[ There's no warning as the audio starts, and it seems very likely that River isn't actually addressing the network at large at all. It cuts in mid sentence, to the rustling sound of movement and near incoherent rambling from River. ]
-but it wasn't meant to go like this. What went wrong? Something went wrong, was it her calculations? The numbers twisted and broke and now so much is lost and how are they supposed to find out why? Pushed too hard and too fast, why did he let her try? Why did I try?
[ She stops talking very abruptly, exhales slowly, and then for the first time actually sounds like she's talking to the network, like it isn't just an accidental pick up of a private conversation featuring one. ]
She's sorry. She didn't- it wasn't meant to happen. So, so sorry.
[ Without any indication of who she's apologising to, she cuts the feed. ]

Either way, he does not care about the outcome. It is not his problem until he is legitimately involved. By that, he means against his will. In the end, it all comes down to counting just how many times he gets to roll his eyes.]
And what, pray tell, happened to warrant such a confession of guilt?
audio
[ She offers up the two words as if it explains everything, spat out bitterly as she keeps marching around through the grounds. Who she's answering doesn't even seem to really matter that much - she's hardly apologising to Death after all, and yet she sounds just as apologetic as if he were the one she personally wronged. ]
Missing, things are missing and he doesn't even know. How is she supposed to fix a problem she doesn't even know how she caused?
audio
[Since this is Death, it is indeed sarcastic. He spares no feelings. He considers where he heard this voice before. It really is not difficult to put two and two together for that. As for what she has done, that will be a pleasant surprise. He has no doubt about that.]
Look...when you cause something to happen, you can't just reverse it. You have to let whatever consequences that follow to occur. That is what you reap when you tamper with anything.

He's honestly all concern and worry, because since they tried working with his memories, he has no idea why she's gotten so upset. ]
River, what-- What's wrong?
audio;
Sam. Sam, you're wrong. He's forgotten- they're important and he can't remember and it's her fault.
[ Remember the part where you said it wouldn't be her fault if anything went wrong? Because apparently River doesn't. ]

She's told him before, 'okay' is a relative term. What's his okay? She's not hurt, not a scratch. What does okay mean?

Okay, but not. It's complicated. [ She pauses for a moment before adding. ] Broke him. Didn't mean to, but she still did it.

[The feed may have been cut, but the urgency of that message, intentional or otherwise, is enough to raise an eyebrow. Emma doesn't exactly have it in her to turn a blind eye and pretend she didn't hear it.]
What's going on? Are you okay?

action because yes
When she hears the transmission, she feels the twinge in her heart. She doesn't know River. She's seen the girl around a bit but hasn't talked to her yet. Still, her heart goes out to her. She is clearly worried. Without realizing that she's doing what the Doctor would do, she goes off in search of the girl. When she finds her, Amy approaches slowly.]
Are you...is everything alright?
action because A MELLIE TAG OMG FINALLY
It softens when Amy approaches though, and she pauses for a moment before she turns to face the woman, her expression smoothing over and falling into something a little more neutral. She stares at her for a moment, then just shrugs slightly. ]
Amy Pond. He knew a girl with that name, a source of much stress. Just a coincidence though, nothing more. A shared name does not the same person make. [ She pauses then, because...she should probably answer her question too. ] Everything is not alright. What do you do when you can't fix a problem you've caused?
