[ when the feed finally does come on, mary margaret isn't in the kitchen. a surprise to anyone who saw her last post, honestly, but times have changed. things are happening. she's changed. for now, she's sitting outside - off near the forest - just because it feels a little more familiar to her. comfortable. she's in outdoorsy clothes and has a bow over her shoulder and a quiver leaning against her leg where she's seated on some kind of log or stump.

there's an odd sort of twitch in her jaw when she starts talking, but she covers it easily enough. ]

I hope everyone is doing well. [ a polite smile from her. she's fully aware of that last event, wonderland, and she's not amused by what it did to her loved ones. ] After the last few events it seems like we could use some more downtime.

[ a breath, and then she seems to ease into it, like just because she's started talking she's back into her comfort zone. ]

I have a couple of things I wanted to mention, I guess, the first concerning myself more than anything. [ a breath, regina's warning ringing someone in the back of her mind as she holds her head a little higher. ] I introduced myself as Mary Margaret when I first got here, and many of you know me as that, which is fine. Mary Margaret is still a name I can go by, and accept as part of me. But I did want to clear up the fact that it is not my actual name, or who I am. [ a beat where she considers if this is even worth it at all, before - again - she continues. ]

My name is Snow White. [ is she holding back a small smile? probably. ] And from what I can tell, for most of you I'm what you consider a fairy tale. That is fine, because that seems to apply to more than just my world, but where I'm from I'm actually quite real, as is the tale itself. You are more than welcome to call me whatever you like, but I did want to let those I've talked to know, and this seemed the easiest way.

[ she's already told those few closest to her - derek and stiles, bigby - but for everyone else, this works much better. ]

The second thing was more of an idea, but it seems to me that there are a lot of us here who are missing someone from home. In a few cases, it might be a few someones. [ she misses her dwarves, okay. and ruby. and a certain prince charming. ] While I can't promise anything in the ways of bringing those people here, I've always found that coming together eases some of that pain. There are plenty of avenues to keep involved in Wonderland - with classes and the school and group meetings - but I want to suggest another option.

Dinners. [ sorry, mary margaret. what? ] Family dinners. Maybe once a month? I'm pretty good at cooking for larger parties- [ or maybe just seven dwarves who eat enough for hundreds. ] So I wouldn't mind preparing the food. Just for a chance for people to get together a chat, outside of the normal Wonderland setting. If anything, it would be a chance to let some of you eat a home-cooked meal every once in a while. I'll hold the first one tonight, and everyone is welcome, but it would help me immensely if I could get a heads up to who all is interested. Just so I make enough food.

[ another pause, where she's not really sure how to end this, before she just gives an easy smile and a nod before cutting the feed off. ]

[ So this is Snow White, who Natasha has now heard quite a bit about from both Bigby and more recently Henry. She watches the woman talk with a curious expression, assessing and thoughtful, although she doesn't mind opening up a feed to reply when she's finished with her message. ]

That could potentially be a very large group you end up cooking for there, you realize.

I think dinners is a fantastic idea. Great at bringing entire communities together. Such basic needs are always the best at drawing people from all corners of the world to be in harmony with each other, even if it's for a brief time. Or in this case, worlds.

I know people may do things differently in other worlds- [ so strange to say, even now. ] but I think just bringing people together at all is important. And not only through war.

[The only thing Tybalt knew about a Mary Margaret was that during the high school regression he teased Bigby about a crush on her.

So this is news. (Also he wonders if she has the issues with Disney as some of the older faeries back home do.)

But while Tybalt is as a rule not overly fond of going out among the other residents of the mansion (as a humanoid, anyway, he has no problems going as a cat), he does miss Toby and the others. And food other than what the closet gives him, which is pretty bland.]

I don't suppose you know Robin Hood?

[He's not serious but hey, who knows.]

[ a good basis to have, really. not that mary margaret would agree in any way, what with her own issues concerning bigby and feelings, but something is better than nothing.

the question, though, makes her pause. robin hood? ]

[Tohru's wide-eyed at first, and a little star-struck. Even as sheltered as she is, Tohru still knows the story of Snow White. That's so incredible! Snow White is real! She's a real person, and not just a story! Tohru can't help but wonder what her mother would think if she knew that Snow White really existed, as that's usually where her thoughts drift when she encounters someone or something new. But she quickly tries to compose herself, so that she can make her point.]

That's a really wonderful idea, Ms. White! Last year for an American holiday called Thanksgiving, Mr. Winchester gathered everyone together for a family dinner like that. It would be really nice to do something like that more often! Dinners like that, they feel sort of...hm. Homey, I suppose!

Anyway, um...would you like any help? I know that's a lot of people to be cooking for, so if you need an extra pair of hands, or if you need anything from the diner, I wouldn't mind at all.

Please- [ snow laughs softly, her smile fond already. ] Just call me Snow, or Mary Margaret, whatever you'd like. But that was my intention, yes. [ she wasn't here for thanksgiving, so she can't say she remembers if the dinner went well or not, but oh well. ] I'm hoping we don't have to wait for once a year to get everyone together. Or just a few people together. It's not supposed to be an obligation.

[ honey sounds exactly right, honestly. and it makes snow feel good knowing that it'll work even for people who may not be from her home. ]

That would be wonderful, actually! I didn't know so many people would be interested in coming, so any kind of help in the kitchen would be appreciated. I won't be down there until later today, if you'd like to join.

[ Admittedly, he's here first because she's Snow White, but secondly, he's here for the chance at having a homecooked meal. Kevin can and does get by on his own, but he's not great at cooking for himself and the occasional salads the Winchesters make him eat aren't really cutting it. ]

We're in Wonderland. Meeting Snow White isn't that much of a stretch. Does that mean you know the seven dwarves? [ he's certainly not about to fault her for giving out one name and claiming another when he didn't know her beforehand. it's kind of cool. people think demigods are mythical and that isn't so different from a fairy tale, is it? listening to her talk makes him think of Sally; her kindness, that compassion, and it takes guts to put herself on the line like this and make a confession. it's interesting. ]

I think a huge dinner could be what everyone here needs. A chance to sit down together and stop worrying about what makes them different and start focusing on what makes us the same. [ he's heard a lot about humans and not humans; bad experiences with both, and hearing about all the prejudices concerns him. maybe this is the connecting thing that can make them learn to be better. ] Is anyone invited?

I do, actually. [ and she misses them. a lot. but she hides it well enough behind the grin, hides her homesickness, that dark hole in her chest. there's so much about home that is hard to live without, now that she has her memories, but she makes due. for her daughter, her grandson, the rest of the people here she knows from home.

her pain is for her time alone. for now, she smiles, agreeing with what he says. meeting snow white shouldn't be all that surprising. but she needs it to be out there anyway, just so it doesn't come as too much of a surprise for anyone else she meets. ]

Exactly. [ surprisingly wise from someone so young, but snow just smiles through it, nodding once. ] We're all too similar to be focusing on the differences. And yes- anyone you want to invite is more than welcome.

[As soon as Henry hears her voice, his eyes light up. He hasn't seen her yet, he hasn't even really talked to his moms about her being here, there's just been a lot. But he immediately messages her back, a huge grin on his face.]

Grams! I'm here! ...Again, I guess. Did anyone tell you? I can come over and help if you want. I think dinners would be a good idea.

[ the first second or two is pure shock, surprise, like she can't actually believe it's him. but then those moments pass and her face breaks into a smile, memories of home (the enchanted forest, now) sifting between memories of storybrooke.

it's the first time she's seen henry with the knowledge that he's her grandson, and it takes a little bit to process that. ]

I- [ did anyone tell you? no, no one had, and she's a little annoyed at that fact. but her joy and excitement at seeing henry easily eclipses that, and her smile takes over. ] I would love some help, actually. Would you like to meet me down in the kitchens?

[The young man who shows up on camera slouched in a recliner probably isn't her target audience, but Peter doesn't really seem to care about that particular fact.]

I guess you people really have settled in, huh?

[He's still adjusting to the idea of this mansion being a more or less permanent setting, and to see people so... cozy is just weird. He's never been one for settling anywhere for long periods of time, and his people tend to sort of judge those who do. Now he's faced with the inevitability of it.

Probably why he's fixating on the family dinners part rather than the Snow White part.

I'm not sure settled in is the right word. [ she smiles anyway, easy. she's been here for...well. some time now. it's hard to keep fighting it after this long. ]

But I've been here for just about eight months now, some much longer, so finding a way to be comfortable here in Wonderland- while it's just Wonderland- is only natural.

Plus- [ okay, she might look a little more sheepish, but it's a very subtle shift. ] I have a hard time seeing people who haven't had a decent meal in months.

I can't say much about angels, seeing as you might be the first one I've ever met. [ plus the whole bit about there not being angels in her secular versions of the fairy tales from which she comes from, but oh well! ] But belief can be a crazy thing.

[ Both Adam and Jesse both still owe him, the way he sees it. Plus, any opportunity to get people together is a boon to Wonderland's overall morale... assuming it's an atypical family get-together and everyone gets along. ]

Y'know, we met a girl like Snow White once. Her name was Callie, she... her stepmother put her in a coma for a long time. She was trying to reveal the truth even through the coma and started playing out other fairy tales to get attention.

[ Sam smiles softly. Though the story of Snow White typically ends happily (and Callie's father had been able to find peace), Callie herself had passed away. ]

I think the dinners are a great idea.

[ sorry, sam. that comparison has a bit of color draining from snow's face. she swallows thickly, at first, trying to bring herself to smile. even if it seems a little forced. ]

I hope her true love come to retrieve her.

[ i'll always find you. she has to blink to push back the memory, the overwhelming sense of loss. but then snow shakes her head and sits back up, pushes past. ]

Good. Maybe we can get our home economics class to host it one day.

[Really, the need of people in this place to get touchy-feely emotional is not just disconcerting, it makes his very skin crawl. Dinners, she says. Family dinners, as if he's ever known such a thing in his life, or if he'd ever be remotely interested.

[A mixture of emotions swirl in Bigby's chest as he watches Mary Margaret's... no, Snow's video. A part of him wants to add his own video, another part figures it might be best to stay at arms length. But then his device buzzes and he has to smile.

[ she's more excited than she should be that he responds to her at all, even more so when he agrees to come. it's with a group of people, so there's no reason she has to feel bad, right? ]

[It's obvious pretty much from the get-go that the woman making this broadcast isn't quite the same person who Steve spoke to back when he first arrived in Wonderland. Everything from her clothing to her overall bearing has shifted, and Steve makes note of the bow and arrow too.

Mary Margaret -- no, Snow White -- actually goes on to explain herself. It seems that she got a hold of her memories after all. She'd felt pretty isolated before, because everyone else from her home had told her of this other life of hers and yet she hadn't been able to remember it. It must be a weight off to finally be up to speed with everyone.

Steve takes note of her offer for a large "family" dinner too, and while that sounds nice enough, he'd rather focus on her first.]

It looks like you caught up after all. I'm glad to hear it. [He flashes a smile.] Do we need to be reintroduced, Snow White? [She may be fine with both names, but Steve would prefer to call her by the one she'd been meant to have.]

[ oh steve. for some reason all it takes is a view of that grin and she's smiling again. she may have an entirely different set of problems plaguing her than the last time they talked, but he's got her smiling, easily, so that's something.

it strikes her a moment later how much he reminds her of charming, in a few different ways, and it takes her a second to blink that thought away and focus back on him. ]

Looks like I did. [ have a more fun-loving sort of grin right back. ] I don't know, Steve Rogers, do we?

May I confess that I have never quite thought to meet anyone from a tale of any sort before, or anyone from the future for that matter! I, myself hail from the distant past to many. So perhaps it is not so strange at all.

( her gaze and smile warm with sincerity at her idea. )

I should like that very much. Would you care for some aid in that endeavour? I learned to cook quite capably whilst in Sanctuary.

[ at least that hurt - the loss of her mother - was an old wound. something she'd learned to smile through, accept. it's much easier to talk about her now than it would have been just a year before, so mary margaret doesn't even worry about it.

I can't say many have, honestly. Though I'm honored to be your first. [ which is a ridiculous enough notion in and of itself. oh well! ] How far into the past, if you don't mind me asking?
