Have ghosts ever happened before? I thought when everyone died they just came back.
It was the first time that I've died here. I don't really know what it's supposed to be but I guess it wasn't what I expected.
I didn't expect to be a ghost.
Unless that was the horror part.
Has anyone been there before to know what else happens?

No I meant where we were.
Does something else happen when you died?

I made it. I don't know anything about that happened out there for the people who didn't. I thought you guys stayed with us, we could see you and talk to you.
[He'd survived Wonderland's Oregon Trail, anyway. But Quinn sounds like she's talking about something specific that had happened to those who'd died for those few days.
Normally, Adam thought moving onto the afterlife was instantaneous; you kind of just went in whichever your soul was supposed to go, and you more or less knew where you ended up.]

That's why it was weird being a ghost. I still looked pretty alive minus the whole passing through things bit.

[Not the worst outcome. The Casper kind of haunting, not the Poltergeist kind.]
How long were you stuck like that? I didn't see you.

Was the food good?

Then again, being a ghost is pretty morbid, too. He doesn't relish Quinn's Oregon Trail spirit walk.]
About as good as the food in the mansion when we got the closets back.
Not even Wonderland can make crappy restaurant food taste better, anyway.
[He's trying to cheer her up by saying she hadn't missed much.]

I'm still going to have my own 'hey you were dead and missed out' food session. Maybe find a few of the other people that died?

That's the least you deserve. And the service in this diner is better.
If they don't feel like talking about it they won't beat around the bush. Can't hurt to ask.

I think you're probably right. Quicker is better.
[Like ripping a bandaid off. Adam's mostly stopped being appalled that he's been reduced to the level of talking about human life in terms of a person's comfort level in how fast or slow they die, but it's reality now.]

( Rather than be in any pain from it. That was what most people on an Earth type place wanted, anyway )
