second spell - video/action/text
[ Back at Hogwarts, Astronomy was one of Remus' best subjects. That's not to say it was one of his favorites, but out of necessity, he'd become quite adept at studying the night sky. That's why, after he'd taken the time to settle in, he'd asked his closet for a telescope and started hitting the roof after sundown. Most nights he could be found up there, studying the moon and stars. It was for this reason that he'd been able to calculate when the next full moon would be (rather sooner than he'd like, but there was no changing that), and also made a fascinating discovery.
One night, from the roof, he decides to share his findings with Wonderland at large. He pulls out his cell phone and records a video. ]
Has anyone noticed that the stars keep changing? I mean, night after night, the constellations are different. Sometimes they're not where they ought to be, and sometimes I see ones I've never seen before. I'd thought maybe I could try and learn where Wonderland is, geographically, but I'm more confused now than I was when I started.
[ He ends his broadcast, then, fiddling with the settings, sends out a message to his friends. ]
[ Private to James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew: ]
The full moon is the 8th. That's this Wednesday.
[ ooc: feel free to run into Remus either on the roof, if your character is so inclined, or in the stairwells with his telescope! ]

[It finally dawned on him that without his wand he wouldn't be able to join his mates on the full moon. If anything made him feel even more isolated, this was it.]

[He doesn't explain. He's pretty sure Remus can pick up on why that would be a bit of a problem.]

Oh good, so that wasn't just me then? Thought I was going crazy the one night when I couldn't find anything familiar.

What do you think this means?

[ Not that Charlie considers herself to be some kind of star extraordinaire, but hey they usually stay in the same place...ish. ]
I guess we can chalk it up to weird Wonderland magical shenanigans. We might be a floating island in space for all we know, which would be kinda cool if we could hop off the ride once we're done with it.
Like Pigfarts!]I suppose the magic surrounding this place is more complicated than I'd thought.
Exactly like Pigfarts]Okay, maybe we aren't exactly that. A weird pocket dimension? Seems more legit, right?
Whatever it is, I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on the sky more often. Maybe we can start creating our own constellations based on people here. Good way to pass the time.
[ Even if that would involve identifying new ones every night, if the stars change that often. ]

Message to Remus, Sirius, and Peter
[The last thing they need right now is anything that's going to isolate Peter, but they're not about to leave Remus alone either, especially not for his first transformation in a weird new place.]
We'll have to teach Peter how to do it without a wand, but there won't be enough time to master it between now and the full moon.
On the positive side though, I know a place you can transform safely, Moony. [Or as safely as he can, at least.] The Resistance Fort (Fort Dixon-Potter) is deep in the woods, and I cast all the protections on it myself.

Even if all else fails (which it won't) the Fort's at the bottom of a fairly steep ridge. It's simple enough for a person to get up or down, but none of us would be able to climb up it transformed.
[Meaning that even if Moony broke out of Fort Dixon-Potter somehow, he wouldn't be able to run back to the mansion. It's still not wise to run around since the the forest isn't quite as forbidden as it is at Hogwarts, but it's still helpful to know. There aren't many other places that are safe to keep werewolves, so it's truly their best option. Everything else is too close to where everyone lives and sleeps.]
Still, I appreciate all the blind faith you have in me. You'll be fine.

Have the stars been the same on certain nights? Like one night you'd see the stars from America or another night from Italy?
( Is that how it works does that even make sense? She doesn't know )

Every night, they're a little screwed up. It took him a few days to notice it, and even when he did, he almost didn't believe it. Another night confirmed his suspicions, but eventually he accepted it as one of the weird magical quirks about this place.]
You think maybe it changes?
[He's not normally one to get cozy with strangers, but this is an interesting topic and he's got a few thoughts about it, so he starts a feed and proposes the question.]
Not the stars, I mean, but our position in the universe? Like, maybe one day we're looking up at a sky over Georgia, the next it's pulling the sky over Thailand, the day after that it's, I don't know, Planet Galactor Six in some horseshoe galaxy?
