[James has been busy today, but he's been in very good spirits lately. There's an extra skip in his step and a bright smile as he goes down every single hall in the mansion and tosses a red invitation beneath every door that looks like it might have someone living behind it. It reads:

James Potter & Lily Evans
Request the honour and pleasure
of your company at their marriage on
Saturday the twentieth of June
Two thousand fifteen
at three o'clock in the afternoon
in the Gardens of Wonderland.
Reception to follow in Ballroom

He's admittedly gone a bit overboard with distributing them. In addition to slipping them under doors, he's charmed several of them to stick to the walls and doors, and there are even some strewn about communal areas like the kitchen and the tea rooms. The idea is for no one to be able to go anywhere in the mansion at all without learning the good news - that not only are James and Lily getting married, but they have a date.

At some point in the middle of distributing them, James decides to take a break and sits right down on the stairs. He sends out a message to the network, holding up one of their invitations.]

So! You might've found one of these already, but if not I'm sure you will soon - Lily and I are getting married! In two weeks!

[He sounds like he can hardly believe it himself. He's so excited, and so happy. Happier than he's been in a few weeks even.]

I just wanted to be absolutely clear - everyone's invited. We could all use a bit of a celebration, don't you think so? And we know there's always the chance an event could come and derail things - if that's the case, the 27th will be the...err. "Rain" date, let's say. [It's not really, but everyone knows what he means.]

Anyhow, I've got to give out the rest of these. [He waves the invitations in his hand.] We hope to see you all there!

[Then he stands up and shuts the camera off, getting back to work. He can be contacted by video, or he can be found distributing more invitations all over the place.]

You've got a point there. I really ought to have been louder about it from the start. Hold on, let me fix that--

[He pulls out his wand, recites a quick spell, and points it at his own throat. When he starts to read off the invitation, he sounds like he's talking into a megaphone, and depending where Hook is he might actually be able to hear it outside of the video.]

ATTENTION WONDERLAND - JAMES POTTER AND LILY EVANS REQUEST THE HONOUR AND PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY AT THEIR MARRIAGE ON SATURDAY THE TWENTIETH OF JUNE, TWO THOUSAND AND FIFTEEN, AT THREE O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON IN THE GARDENS OF WONDERLAND. RECEPTION TO FOLLOW IN THE BALLROOM.

[When he moves his wand away, his voice goes back to a normal volume.] Better?

[Killian doesn't... know how volume buttons work so during the process of that announcement, he tries to use a pillow to muffle the sound with... medium success. Once the loud noises stop, he fetches it again, looking as composed as a man who just tried to smother a phone with a pillow can.]

Aye, that ought to do the trick.

[He didn't know James did magic before this moment, but it's commonplace enough in his world that the reveal is hardly startling enough to merit mention. The noise, on the other hand, had gotten a rather startled face before he'd managed to muffle it.]

[James just laughs, because clearly "startled" is the reaction he was hoping for.]

I thought it might!

[He pockets his wand, and then grins at Hook like they're old friends.] So, are you going to come?

Well, after you communicated the date and time of the event so clearly, I suppose I ought to. [He looks similarly amused.] Besides, I could hardly allow Emma to attend without a date.

Oh, of course! I wouldn't have expected Emma to go without her pirate anyhow.

[And James doesn't have any doubt at all that Emma would go - after all of their Resistance adventures, he'd be more shocked if she didn't.]

Nor would I. There are other pirates in Neverland. If I'm not careful, one of them could steal her heart away. [A pause. He shrugs a shoulder.] Course, I'm far more handsome than they are. I doubt I have much to fear.

Still not my type, but I see your point. [He's going to make that dumb joke every single time Hook walks right into it.] I doubt it'd work though. She doesn't strike me as someone easy to win over.

[Not that that's a bad thing - Lily hadn't been easy to win over either.]

Keep saying that, and I may think you're protesting a bit much. [He raises an eyebrow. He's just saying, mate. He's never claimed to be your type.]

No, she was far from easy. Lucky for us both I enjoy a challenge, or I might have let the death threats and handcuffs deter me.

[James doesn't take the bait. He's too busy laughing at Hook and Emma and this odd detail from their past.]

Death threats and handcuffs? That sounds like a bit more than just a challenge, mate.

Well, I was a villain at the time, and she, of course, a noble hero. A certain level of conflict was inevitable, despite our mutual attraction.

[Seeing as Killian's made a good first impression, James assumes he's just being dramatic. He seems like an alright fellow, so clearly he wasn't really a villain.]

Oh, I see. Sounds like you two must have been star-crossed lovers then! I'm glad to see that's worked out for you.

[Ahahahaha James. James bro. He's Captain Hook.]

As am I. She's an amazing woman, Emma Swan. Like nobody I've ever met in my very long life.

[He gives James a sly grin.]

But as a man about to lay his anchor in such sweet waters, I've no doubt you know precisely what I mean.

[James knows very, very well what he means and he matches that sly look easily.]

Oh, of course. It's a fantastic feeling. You must be honored.

Every time I see her. [And this time he's not being gross. Well, he is, but in the sappy way, not the sexy way. Emma's love is something that certainly honors him. He did work hard for it.]

[James can relate. He's easily the sappiest person he knows.]

Congratulations then. I'm happy for both of you.

And I for both of you. I've no doubt the wedding will be beautiful.
