01 🔥 video
I'm getting real tired of getting dumped in strange places against my will. I don't like it.
[There's a low, dangerous growl of disapproval and the expression on Mick's face is not a pretty one. It's somewhat reminiscent of an angry bull. This was the second time in God knows how many days that Mick Rory has found himself stranded somewhere new and different, unsure what the hell is happening. It's not a good feeling. It didn't inspire much good will.
Though this is a definite improvement over the last place. For one, there's food. For another, he gets a free smart phone to yell at people over and voice his anger. Not bad. Though he did kind of think they went a little overboard with the white. What was with all the decorations anyway? This better not be like some low rent Christmas Town cause honestly, that sounded a lot like hell.]
You got five minutes to convince me not to torch this place to the ground cause I ain't in the mood to play nice right now. Somebody start talking. [The words come out as an angry snarl, teeth barred. He's not a happy bunny.]

voice
But he'll have to talk and his voice is composed once more. Fake, but when isn't it?]
Been a while.
[It has to have been. Not Chronos, not yet. From before then, when he failed him. Still all Mick. All that anger.]
video
[They were partners once, they were supposed to be the most important to each other. That was how it worked. Him and Snart. They were supposed to be everything to each other and he wants to be happy right now, to relent to that familiar voice but
It was bullshit. He. Left. Him.
He's not feeling overly sentimental right now. He's still wounded and confusion aside, nothing can stop someone as stubborn as Mick from being pissed.] After what you did.
voice
[He doesn't see any reason to deny that. Why, out of everything, do they both have to relive this? Rolling with the punches is easier when not every single of them lands.]
I was coming back for you, Mick. Always.
[It's a useless thing to say, it won't get through to Mick and, worse, he already knows he'll fail. He's done what he can to make amends, but what good does that do? None right now. Probably none ever.]
voice
So this place? It fell very firmly into the category of 'things that need burning' with Leonard, the waverider, everyone on that stupid ship, space pirates, space, the place Leonard dumped him and the sugar free muffin he ate recently.]
You should have just killed me, you coward.
voice
It hurts to know that Mick has not yet been found by the Time Masters and that there's still no way for him to keep it from happening. It has happened, will happen, perhaps it was even always going to happen.
No strings any more, but too little, too late.]
Perhaps. Where are you now?
video as was the one above! My baaaad
[He's purposefully being vague. If he sees Snart right now, he's gonna get a fist in his face and he's still kind of tired and not in the mood to lose a fight so he's also not in the mood to see Leonard.]
Why? You gonna come and show your face? [There's a smirk.] You think that's a good idea?
voice
['Outside' is still pretty helpful, so Leonard is on his way now. It's Mick. As a rule, he isn't that hard to find.]
video
[He's not at full strength, he doesn't like his odds but he's still sure he can win. If push comes to shove. And if he can't, he knows he has weapons. He knows he has a way. The question is more, could he really do that to Snart?]
voice
[Worked once, maybe it will work again. Even if it's only a reprieve for Mick. But they are stuck here now and he has to deal with it here.]
Not as if we're about to talk through our problems.
video
[Fighting did seem like a good way to vent some feelings because they didn't do the whole talking and sharing thing but at the same time, it wouldn't make this square. It wasn't that easy.]
Come find me if you want me so badly.
action
[It hasn't taken him that long to find Mick. There he is, cold gun in its thigh holster, expression carefully schooled. He steps closer and finally stops, holding his hands up. He has no intention of drawing his weapon.]
Can't have a heart to heart. [A deja vu he never asked for.] Let's let our fists do the talking.
action
That's why he rushes straight up and clocks him in the face. Hard. Then the gut, hitting the spot he knows hurt the most. The spot he once sucker punched Snart in back when they were just punk kids in juvie. He remembers how Leonard crumpled then, small and weak.
But things had changed. He changed. For the worst, really.]
action
But he can't really find the will to resist in him. He fights to stay on his feet, but the hand reaching for Mick's shoulder is more to steady himself than to prepare his own punch. His face is throbbing already. This was going o bruise.]
action forever
Mick falters a little, fists raised. Leonard's not submitting but he's not resisting either, he's almost taking the blows and Mick's not sure how to feel about that. Every move he makes is just a way to wait Mick, not to fight back.
So this is how they were playing it.]
no subject
But he notices that Mick is starting to see through the farce and so he puts up a fight for far longer than he wants to before he finally actually feels like he can't get up again, lying on his back and panting. His eyes is already swelling shut and he looks up at Mick. So familiar.
Maybe this time it'd go differently.]
Waiting for something?
no subject
Mick got benched for the team, for the chance for Leonard to play hero. And it cut deep.]
You were my partner and when it came down to it, you picked them. Every time. [He growls in frustration, wishing he could land a finishing blow but he just can't. It's rehashing the same thing, he knows, but it still bothers him.] You changed.
no subject
[Leonard shifts, but only enough to lift his leg so his gun can stop digging into his thigh. He's hurting. A lot. But that at least gives him an excuse to look as pained as he felt.]
You're still my priority.
no subject
[He was there because Leonard was there and he was needed. Leonard was the important one, he was the dumb one who burnt shit. Who had to come because Leonard wanted him to come. Rip made that perfectly clear.]
Bullshit. If I was, you wouldn't have left me. You wouldn't had picked them over me.
no subject
He stares at Mick and he almost wishes he'd just hit him again. He wants to be out of it. Anything would be less painful than this.]
Cry more.
no subject
You did this to me! I was happy and you were the one that wanted to go off into space and play hero. You could have just let me go home when I wanted but no, you're the smart one and I'm the dumb one. You knew what you were doing. [His fingers grip a little harder now, unable to help himself.] We could have just gone home cause newsflash, doesn't look like your little mission is working out so well now, does it?
no subject
He lifts his other leg to use his knee to get Mick off him, finally glaring at him.]
Maybe people wouldn't think you're dumb if you made up your own mind once in a while. But then you couldn't blame every fuck-up on me.
no subject
Whenever I make up my mind, you over-ride me. Cause somewhere down the line, we stopped being partners. [He made up his mind about wanting to go home. He made up his mind about wanting to stay 2046. He made up his mind to betray the team and leave. Every time, Snart stopped him, Snart decided he knew better.] We ain't partners, you treat me like I'm your dog. That's what everyone thinks I am.
[And of all the people in the world, he never thought Leonard would be the one to make him feel like that.]
no subject
I fucked up. I made mistakes. Ain't got any way to undo them.
no subject
[Heh. Yeah. He was still funny. Mick continues just lying there, among the flowers he'd described. He's crushing like ninety percent of them at this point. Mick doesn't have it in him to kill Leonard, to really hurt him, not now anyway. He's just wounded and angry. He feels betrayed and he knows he fucked up too but he was desperate.]
no subject
[He snorts, not that there is anything funny about this. He's aching in more than one way and Mick doesn't know. There is so much that Mick doesn't know yet.]
Ain't got one here.
