01 🔥 video

I'm getting real tired of getting dumped in strange places against my will. I don't like it.

[There's a low, dangerous growl of disapproval and the expression on Mick's face is not a pretty one. It's somewhat reminiscent of an angry bull. This was the second time in God knows how many days that Mick Rory has found himself stranded somewhere new and different, unsure what the hell is happening. It's not a good feeling. It didn't inspire much good will.

Though this is a definite improvement over the last place. For one, there's food. For another, he gets a free smart phone to yell at people over and voice his anger. Not bad. Though he did kind of think they went a little overboard with the white. What was with all the decorations anyway? This better not be like some low rent Christmas Town cause honestly, that sounded a lot like hell.]

You got five minutes to convince me not to torch this place to the ground cause I ain't in the mood to play nice right now. Somebody start talking. [The words come out as an angry snarl, teeth barred. He's not a happy bunny.]

[Figures. He's not surprised, of course, how could he be. But he doesn't have any advantage in this situation. He sees a lot of ways for it to go wrong. He refuses, Mick beats the shit out of him for it. Caitlin gets validated and attacks him. Lines are drawn in the sand and things get really messy. On the other hand-- he's giving an arsonist a flamethrower on crack. He could count a million ways that could go wrong.

And yet. He can see where Mick is coming from, too. Whatever that means for Cisco's own capacity for bad leanings. He wouldn't want to be at that big of a disadvantage either. Maybe it's not sound logic, but it is logic.

He pretends not to notice the all-too-familiar emotions burning in Mick's eyes. He leans over and grabs another of the shots that was lined up on the bartop and takes it.]

I'm guessing I'm not getting anything out of this. Besides the lack of a serious beating. [Which in the immediate was a pretty good trade, but in the long run, didn't mean much at all.]

I'll give you that. [He shrugs one shoulder. It's not a lie. Hell, it was kind of a lot. Guy like Mick could break Cisco in two without having to try too hard, if he wanted.

The idea of an IOU is curious, though. Earns him a perked eyebrow, but Cisco knows better than the question it. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.]

Seems like a fair enough trade. [Maybe. Maybe not. There was nothing that said Mick had to keep his end of that deal. But then...criminals as they may be, Leonard and Mick kind of had a code of sorts of their own, too, didn't they? Maybe Cisco wouldn't have to come to regret this admittedly probably terrible life decision.] It'll take a few days.

[For a second, there's a part of Cisco that thinks this might be a trick question, with a very specifically right and wrong answer. But he's quick on his feet and he has a way around that feeling pretty quickly.]

I'm not gonna go back on our deal. But I am gonna go get a jump on finding the parts I need. Can't build your gun if I'm drunk. [Nailed it. He gets to his feet and hopes like hell Mick doesn't have a reason to stop him.] See you around, Heatwave.
