[Cissie takes her time to get her bearings before she makes her first video post to the network. She appears on screen, looking like any other ordinary blonde haired, blue eyed American teenager. It's an image she intends to maintain, just like she does at home. She holds a hand up in a small wave, offering a tiny smile.]

Hello, Wonderland. Can I call you Wonderland? That's what I hear this place is, and can I just say that I'm kind of seriously regretting never reading those books before? I mean, I'm not the best student in the world, but I do like to know what I'm getting myself into. Not that reading would ever prepare me for getting kidnapped into a children's book, but I don't remember anything about kidnapping anyway, so clearly this is a case of the movie not following the book. ...Where this is the movie, if that wasn't obvious.

[Oh my god stop rambling, Cissie. She looks a litle abashed, blushing faintly. Great, her shot at introducing herself and she's sounding like a complete dork. She clears her throat and continues. Here comes the awkward part.]

Anyway, my name is Cissie King-Jones. I'm from Pennsylvania. You... may have seen me on a Wheaties box? If you're from where I'm from, that is. And if you are, I'd really like to know. And if you're not... it's nice to meet you?

If anyone wants to be kind enough to give me the Cliff Notes version of things, that would be awesome. I guess these kind of 'hey I'm new, what's up with this place' kind of questions probably get old after a while, so if you just want to introduce yourself, that's fine, too.

Room three. So I guess I'll be right there.

[knock knock!]

[Cissie is not surprised when there is a knock on the door about two seconds after getting Tim's message, but she's not completely sure she is ready to see him and deal with... all of this. At least she doesn't have much time to think about it. She rolls her eyes a little when he doesn't just come in, but reminds herself that at this point, he hadn't even taken his mask off for them yet.

When she opens the door, it's with a smile, because even if he's younger, he's still Tim, her friend. But then she sees him, and she kind of freezes involuntarily. And she can't stop herself from blurting out the first things that come to mind.]

...You're short! And wearing glasses?

[He gives her a pained look.]

Please. Please tell me that one day I'm taller than you. Lie if you have to.

[That breaks the ice a little and Cissie laughs, shaking her head in amusement.]

Yes, Tim. I promise you have a growth spurt one of these days. And why are you wearing glasses? That aren't tinted green, either.

[She shakes her head again, and then gives in and goes in for a hug.] Get in here so we can talk.

[He lets her drag him into her room and into a hug, shutting the door behind him with his foot. He takes off his glasses and shrugs a little.]

Back home I got a little famous after the No Man's Land stuff. I was trying to fly under the radar at school.

[Cissie blinks, then lets out a slow breath, moving to sit on the bed so they can talk more comfortably.]

No Man's Land. Wow. That... That was you! I don't think I ever really put that together. Glasses seriously work for you as a disguise, though?

[He laughed a little.] Yeah, that was me. I don't think it would work if anyone thought about it for more than thirty seconds, but why would you assume the kid sitting next to you in algebra is the same kid you saw on the news, unless they actually looked the same? With the glasses, I at least don't look the same at first glance, so it doesn't come up.

[Cissie tilts her head and squints at him for a moment while he's talking, then shakes her head, grinning.]

Sorry, nope. I still recognize you.

Well, you know me in a mask, too, so. [He grins at her.]

So, unfair advantage. I get it. [She smiles, feeling relieved that this doesn't feel as awkward as she had anticipated. She crosses her legs, settling in more comfortably.]. You can sit down, you know. I won't bite.

[He laughs a little and takes a seat next to her.] I never imagined you would. Is it okay to say it's nice to see you? I mean, I know none of us asked to be here, but it's really nice to see familiar faces nonetheless.

[She breathes in a little sigh of relief and bumps shoulders with him.] Well, I'd be pretty upset if you weren't happy to see me, to be honest. I'm pretty relieved to see you. Even if you are a literal blast from the past, I can't think of anyone I'd rather be stuck in a weird kidnapping with.

[She's being honest with that; they may have drifted apart, but Tim is still one of the smartest people she has ever met, and she will always feel safer in strange situations when he is around. Even when he is too young. She turns serious for a moment.] I'm sorry if I freaked you out, knowing your name and all. I would have broken the news a little more tactfully if I'd had a clue.

It's okay. Kon kind of ripped that band-aid off when he got here, or I would have freaked out a lot more. I did freak out a bit more, actually. [He shrugs, giving her an apologetic smile.] It's kind of a new paradigm for me. A nice one, though. I never wanted to hide from you guys.

I know you didn't. [She gives him a kind smile in return. She has never blamed him for his identity issues.] I mean, even if you hadn't come out and told us that you wanted to tell us? I got why you didn't.

[He coughs and holds his pointer fingers next to his head in an imitation of bat ears.]

It wasn't my call.

[Cissie laughs and rolls her eyes, smiling.]

I know that, too. But... Alvin Draper? Please tell me that was an alias he picked for you, and not a name you picked for yourself.

Uh.

No, actually I made up Alvin. I used that with you guys?

You absolutely did. Batman finally let you give up the double mask thing, but you still couldn't tell us your name, so you told us you were Alvin Draper.

[She smirks and bumps shoulders with him again.] It kind of worked. Bart thought it was too dorky a name to be made up.

Well, my girlfriend uses Alvin, so I guess that's about as honest as I get when Batman won't let me use my name. [He gives her a wry smile and returns the shoulder bump.] She knows it's not my name, too.

[Cissie looks at him in surprise, both because he had to use a fake name with his girlfriend, and because... She realizes he's probably talking about the girlfriend who died. Let's not go there right now, Cissie. Or ever.]

...You do know that's kind of messed up, right?

I was aware. [His tone is dry, but he's smiling a little.] But since I met her as Robin...

[She laughs, and nods.] Okay, fair point. I'll give you this one. [There's a lot she wants to say and ask, like why he lets Batman call these shots for so long, but she knows why. And she knows she only stopped letting her mother rule her life when someone else stepped in, but Tim has to wait to get to that point on his own. So it's time to change the subject.]

So. This place. It's... kind of crazy, I hear. How long have you been here? What's it like?

Definitely crazy. [He grins.] But not terrible? I've been here about a month, and things definitely get interesting around here sometimes, but it's also... kind of cool? There are people here from different times and universes, so it's definitely not the worst kidnapping I've ever been a victim of. Kind of interesting, actually.

[She laughs and shakes her head.] Tim, the fact that you can say that and mean it is so not normal, you do realize that, right? Most people don't get kidnapped at all, never mind often enough to have a comparison scale to go by.

[He gives her a--barely--solemn look. The humor is in his eyes and at the corners of his mouth.]

Most people live really boring lives.
