[ Snow hasn't slept since she woke up. For the first time in so long, she's had nightmares about the burning room in the Netherworld, of being trapped in flames the way she was during the sleeping curse. So, she simply isn't going to sleep until she can talk to Regina and see about some kind of potion or magic that can put her under without having to dream of anything at all. Hopefully, something like that exists.

But this means that she's dwelling on what happened. Her death in protecting Emma, the fact that her daughter was indoctrinated anyway. And that leads her to late night texting. ]

For those of you that have family here, how do you deal with the idea that you can't always protect them?

[ It's not a concept that's new to Snow. She held her newborn in her arms for all of thirty seconds before putting her in a wardrobe that took her so far away. Snow has fought magic, ogres and Lost Boys for her daughter but this time she failed. This time, she couldn't keep the worst from happening. ]

I realize it's a broad question. But I'm not sure I've ever thought I couldn't protect my daughter before. Not until the past few days happened. Maybe I just needed to get the words out. It's much easier to type them than to admit them out loud.

Eventually, good magic broke the curse. My daughter was the key. I had to give her up to keep her safe when she was born, but she found us, twenty-eight years later and broke the curse.

I'm glad she was able to help, even if you had to give her up. How did she know you were her mother if you were separated?

[Someone had to have told her about her relationship to Snow.]

She didn't. It works out that she...had a son. And she gave him up for adoption when she was eighteen. [ So, that was 18 years into the curse. ] My stepmother wanted another chance at being a mother, a good mother, and guess whose baby she just happened to adopt, without even knowing who the birth mother ever was?

[ Thes same woman destined to break the curse. What a fairytale coincidence. ]

When Henry was ten - when Emma was twenty-eight - he ran away from home to find his birth mother and brought my daughter back. We had no idea who we were to each other, but we became friends and she decided to stay. For Henry.

[That really was a coincidence. But a really good one.]

It was meant to be. I'm glad that you have each other to support each other.

[He didn't think it could have gone any other way. And now they had each other, even if things did get hard or seemed impossible to overcome. They already did overcome the impossible before.]

I am, too. Without them, I don't know what I would do, truly.

It sounds like you're really happy. Finally? It was worth the wait, even if you might not have remembered for a long time.

Being together again is absolutely worth everything.

I'm really happy for you too. There are lots of chances to be happy here, even with everything that happens.
