[The Doctor's room looks like a total junk heap.

He'd managed to find a fairly good sized room on the top floor of this place, and in less than a week he had turned it into a dump. There were metal bits and bobs everywhere. Wires thin and thick connected to several different power sources. There were things that might look familiar to some and other things that looked, and were, out of this world or any world one might be familiar with.

He fiddles with the cellphone like thing for a moment and then it seems to spring to life. This is his first time using it, though he had played with it a little since being here. Hopefully it's working. It's probably the only thing in his room he hasn't completely dismantled.]

Hello there! This might sound a bit strange but, I come to you with a quick question so I do hope this works.

I seemed to have broken my closet. Or perhaps I just overworked it. [It's more likely the latter given the huge amount of stuff he's pulled from his own already. They're put here to appease them but apparently the Doctor is too hard to please.]

Might I borrow someone elses for a bit? I promise I'll stay out of the way. I only need a few more things, hopefully.

I think so? At first it was giving me everything I needed but now it just makes a bit of a groaning sound and gives me a teabag no matter what I ask for.

[He just shrugs somewhat helplessly. He's not quite sure what he did to it, but it's certainly not being helpful that's for sure.]

First of all, I'm not entirely sure it's magic. There's something to it it's just a matter of finding out what. But I haven't had time to try and take it apart as I'm a bit preoccupied.

Second of all... I don't know if broke is the right term? But I certainly did something to it cause it's certainly not helping anymore. What that something is? Well I'm not quite sure yet. I do hope it's temporary though.

I suppose you could call it a nexus into some alternate dimension, a sort of gateway that responds to specific requests.

However you want to think of it, clearly you've been using its power extensively. Maybe you ought to give it a rest. I hardly use mine at all if you really need something.

[There was something familiar about the guy's speech pattern and the complete and utter craziness of the whole thing but, more than that, Jack was intrigued because how do you even break one of these things?]

That's impressive, I didn't think these things were breakable.

You could use mine, if you want. [It wasn't like he used it all that often, just to get some of the tech he'd had from back home. Not that all of it had turned out to be all that useful here.]

[By asking it too do far too much in such a short amount of days. It just keeps spitting out tea bags which is probably a hint to slow the hell down and take a tea break and leave it the hell alone. Which he's finally taken the hint, well, sort of. He's certainly not going to try and use his own for a bit.]

[He's finally paying attention to the screen though and he just sort of looks shocked at the face on the other side of the screen. Well, perhaps shocked is a bad word for it. At this point he's awfully used to Jack popping up unexpectedly.]

Nothing I haven't been doing for the past three days! Then this morning instead of getting me what I asked for it sort of just made noises at me and gave me the same thing over and over again. I might have shorted it? Is it possible to short it? I'm not entirely sure, admittedly I haven't been able to play around with it much, bit busy.

Nor did I! I do now I suppose. Hope I didn't completely break it though, that would be a bit of a shame. You haven't used yours yet? It's pretty fantastic! You can ask it for just about anything! But apparently you shouldn't ask it for too much, or highly personal things. I've discovered it doesn't do that either.

Regular hoarder there, aren't you? You can borrow my closet as long as you don't leave the stuff behind. My room's pretty crowded with basement-y stuff anyway.

[Well, apparently it's not because the closet has decided to become completely useless. Of course he's gotten an awful lot out of it in such a short amount of time. He shrugs at the comment. You should see his bedroom in the TARDIS, you think this is bad?]

I wouldn't, I sort of need it. Basement-y stuff? What quantifies as basement-y stuff? Christmas decorations? That's what most people keep in basements right?

[Oh, Doctor. How do you manage to do things like this? Clara is caught between laughter and slight annoyance that he's managed to ruin a closet, and she brings her hand up to cover her mouth.]

You really, actually managed to break it.

[A pause, and she has to work to keep herself from smiling even harder now.]

[Persistence? And it's not his fault his closet can't keep up with him! It's clearly flawed, or he's just hard to appease. Either way it's being moody with him.]

I've done something to it that's for sure!

[He steps away from the screen so that she can see his... mess. Which he looks oddly proud of.]

I was asking for bits to make this, but I haven't finished which is sad. Too many parts apparently.

[Martha isn't at all surprised to see that the Doctor's broken his closet. Seeing how she'd always been in a state of shock that he ever even kept the TARDIS running to begin with, this seems like the natural course of events. And he's turned his room into a complete mess, on top of it all.

For as old as he is, sometimes he seems to act like nothing more than a child. Then again, maybe that's what makes him so endearing. Despite everything he's been through, there are still certain aspects of him that are young at heart.

She's also noticed that he's gotten younger with this regeneration. It's odd, how his physical appearance contrasts with his true age. A Time Lord thing, perhaps?]

You can use mine if you'd like. Just so long as you're careful. What floor are you on? And... what are you building?

[You may be the only one who is not surprised in the least that he's gone and made the closet stop working. Who can blame him really, he's surprised that not everyone has done it! Of course he doubts very much that everyone asks it for as many things that are so very different and so very far away that it wants to up and stop working for them. He's one of a kind what can he say.

He shrugs from his position in all his mess with a laugh. He is a bit childlike in many ways, one of the main ones being his interest in all things exploratory. He is a bit like a kid in a candy shop right now because everything about this place is unknown.

However he has a task at hand and he seems quite focused on it.]

All the way at the top! In number 222. And I'm working on something that will hopefully get me back my TARDIS, though I'm not entirely sure it will work.

[Luke comes for the utterly insane mash of alien technology this guy is creating, he stays to make fun of him.]

How do you break quantum tunneling? Maybe it just doesn't know what you're asking for. [He brings the mobile closer to his face to get a better look at what little machinery he can see on the screen.] I'm not convinced you know what you're asking for. Is that an osmic projector?

[Watch it there sonny. He sort of looks proud of himself at Luke's utter shock at the act.]

It knows exactly what I'm asking for! It's just refusing. All it's doing is giving me tea bags. Rubbish cheeky thing.

[He shakes his head and gives a shrug. But the second he mentions osmic projector he smiles wildly.]
