2nd Bad Idea [Video & Action]

[ The video shows a curly haired teenager looking far far more healthy and... not drugged looking than the last time he'd popped up on the network. Yeah, so this time he's not chock full of wolfsbane, but he's not even going to address that. There's also a little orange tabby on his shoulder, claws sunk into his coat for purchase. Thanks to one Cecil Baldwin the werewolf has a kitten.

He's not the most social, sort of an introvert unless he's familiar with who he's talking to. So he hasn't really gotten to know many of the people in Wonderland. He's not stationary, no, he's been wondering around Wonderland trying to get a feel for the place. Walking and talking, well, at least he's sort of kind of good at multitasking... He hasn't run into anything yet. ]

Do you ever stop and think like, "what if I'm actually in a coma right now and this is all a weird dream?"

[ Some real deep thinking going on obviously. But he's sort of bored, wondering around Wonderland wasn't actually all as interesting as he'd expected. He should have asked Scott or Allison to join him... But oh well. ]

Because I'm really starting to get that feeling from this place.

[ as far as she's concerned, that's kind of the definition of lost. but for now she'll just shrug. ]

Actually, you're right, the beach is a lot nicer. Can you find your way there?

[ That question gains a frown. ] No. [ But he can get unlost, so whatever... ]

I think I can manage. Or get horribly lost. Either or. [ The smirk he's wearing makes it clear he's joking. ] Possibly maimed... But y'know.

[ Yes he can find his way there, Allison. A werewolf hunter isn't supposed to worry about werewolves. u r doin' it wrong. ]

[ whatever you say man. ]

Well hopefully you don't get too maimed on your way over. We both know how good you are at first aid.

[ and by good, we mean ha ha ha. but her tone is fond, and she is still smiling, so that's a good thing.

what's funny, is that you say a werewolf hunter isn't supposed to worry about werewolves and yet she spends a good 90% of her time either worrying about isaac or scott. what happened to the logic here. ]

[Though he's probably noticed that she doesn't sound Southern. She has a generic "newscaster" accent.]

Yes, thank you. I've been considering that exact possibility since I got here.

[Have a space marine appearing on your screen, glad to finally see someone having the same worries he's been dealing with. It's kind of the first semblance of anything sane he's found so far, which actually? Is a nice change. So nice and such a weight off his shoulders in the moment that he relaxes visibly, ultimately just relieved to have found someone who's maybe about as new as he is.]

Everyone I've run into so far is so used to it and accepting of everything, they just go around like being trapped in Wonderland is business as usual. It's really disconcerting.

Only if you go looking around.

[ she has decisively avoided doing much of that since the hellhound situation. out of sight, out of mind. ]

Dunno. There's no 'Wonderland for Dummies' book in the library, so all we've got are guesses.

[ Or indifference, such as in the case of Meg. She really doesn't care who or what is in charge, she's alive and kicking and really that's all that matters. ]

Best thing to do is hang tight and enjoy the ride. Have a burger or something. [ She stops and looks thoughtful before smirking. ] Or a beer. No age limit around here, take advantage of it.

I think that all the time. It makes sense that it's all a weird dream.

Only...

[She frowns, resting her chin in the palm of her hand.]

Things here feel too real to just be a dream.

[He is looking extra mean today, isn't he? His utter lack of sleep and general strain over the last event that he hasn't been able to shake are certainly not doing his appearence any favours; anyone betting that those bags under his eyes couldn't possibly be any more pronounced had best fork over the dough because damn is he showing his age more than usual right now.

Still, Grumpy Cat expression or no, he's firmly on Team Not Eating People, so he's got that going for him, at least. Not to worry, kid, your hide is safe.]

Makes more sense than the truth does. [And to the kid's question, he tilts his device toward the mess at his feet: shavings, feathers, and the half-plucked bird that he doesn't bother trying to keep from popping up on the feed. Hope you ain't squeamish, pal.] And I'm keepin' myself busy, ain't much else goin' on inside.

[Well, aside from drink... But he'd been at that for a few days and the thought of doing it again leaves him cold. And sick; truth be told, he's a bit hungover. He nudges at carcass with his boot to keep it from tipping over before shaking his head.] Woulda dreamt up somethin' better to do if I knew I was gonna be stuck here for months.

[Meet your friendly neighborhood Welshman, Isaac. Looking prim and proper in one of his freshly pressed suits out of that magical closet of his.]

Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of this place. But I don't think it's a coma dream. [He's pretty sure he's dead, after all. There are people from his future that have even confirmed that theory, much as he would have liked them to confirm otherwise.]

I think my first aid skills could be worse.

[ You weren't complaining when he took your pain away, Allison. Either way her response earns a raised eyebrow. At least she's not dead, she could have bled out, so he did something right.

She better be prepared for him to check her arm out, be sure she's not too injured. He figures she'd do the same for him, or at least, he hopes so. Not that he's all that keen on getting injured. ]

But, yeah, I'll be there soon.

[ He lets a thoughtful hum. ]

I get the strange feeling that you don't care. How long have you been here and why haven't you figured out how to get back home if you're a witch? [ He's still not made her prove she's a witch... Actually. ] I'm still waiting for you to prove that by the way.

[ Guess who has two thumbs and cannot get drunk, Meg. Guess! Isaac snorts and shakes his head. ] Beer's not that interesting. [ A teenager that doesn't want to get drunk! Well, okay, he might if he could actually get drunk. ]

Uh-huh.

[ no, but this was also harmless teasing. she didn't complain, because it was really nice of him to help out at all. that wasn't something he had to do, and maybe she's still feeling like she owes him for it, a little.

she's prepared, but that doesn't mean she won't be difficult about it. though he's one hundred percent right about her fixing him up. if it ever came down to that, and his werewolfishness didn't kick in first. ]

[ Stiles mutters something inaudible, and Scott kicks the bottom of the mattress - you can't see the result of it, but the loud crash is suggestion enough. Stiles falls off the top bunk into a pile on the ground and Scott is left chuckling off to himself.

He'd ask if he's okay, but this is definitely not the first time its happened. ]

Hold on a second, Lahey.

[ He hangs up with a faint nod. ]

[ It's probably around ten to fifteen minutes when Scott picks up again - having to go through helping Stiles and all his complaints is pretty tedious because the boy can be annoying ~~all the time~~ when he wants to be.

But that's not all Scott does. Before calling again, he glances over the post itself - listening to some of the conversations, which he'll say is just to see if anyone's giving him a hard time, but really it's to see if Isaac talked about Scott at all. Not that there's any reason for that to happen - but it's kind of the territory that crosses over with crushes. Scott wants to know if he's on his mind.

The Allison conversation sticks out. And it stings and he and Stiles have to talk about it for a minute before he calls Isaac back. It makes sense why he's not coming home now - he's going to hang out with Allison, which is probably about a million times better than staying in and cuddling with Scott. Scott gets it, he knows what she's like. It's easy to like her, love her, she's Allison, it's just part of her to be wonderful in every way.

Really, he should be happy for them. He should. Two of his most favorite people getting along and hanging out - it should be nice.

Instead, he just feels left out. ]

Hey, uh - [ He doesn't know what to say. His smile is genuine enough, pleasant to look at, but he doesn't want to talk too long. It hurts. He shouldn't hold them up. ]

Don't stay out too late?

[ Isaac's surroundings are different when he answers Scott again, but he's wearing a smile, not even noticing anything is awry with Scott. Instead he chuckles, and keeps to a lighthearted tone. ] Okay mom. [ Really he's already heard Melissa say that at least once.

He had not been canoodling with Allison when they'd spent time together last time, unless canoodling is defined as being shocked to find your ex knocking at his door and having to patch up an injury of hers. He'd enjoyed the company however, when Scott ditched him for his true best friend. He doesn't know what's going on with Scott and Allison here, from what he'd heard back home, they were broken up... Here? He isn't sure, the way they look at teach other...

He's sorely tempted to ask, but the fear of that turning into an awkward conversation with him dodging the fact that he has a crush on both of them. ]

Hey, uh.

[ His smile falls, and he suddenly seems a bit more uncomfortable for a moment then his fake bravado kicks in, because Scott cannot see him weak. ]

Food and a movie in Stiles' dungeon, or something when I get back?

[ That's shouldn't make him uncomfortable to ask, but the whole still not used to people actually wanting him around? Especially really attractive Mexicans... That's more of a date than going to the beach with Allison, Scott. ]

It's great. Where are you from? [ How have you not had pizza??]

Beacon Hills, California.

[ He smiles, well, might as well be her friend, even if he's not from South Carolina... ]

Did you like South Carolina?

[ It's weird that he can go from so depressed to so very, very happy in just a few short words - unfair of Isaac to know just what to say to make him content.. And it's a weird sort of happiness - he shouldn't be happy, right? Shouldn't let himself feel his heart swell at the thought, because it's destined to be, well, nothing in the long run, since Scott's convinced himself that Isaac and Allison are fooling around. He doesn't get why Isaac is asking him out(ish?) but he's not going to count his eggs before they hatch.

He kind of sucks at putting one and one and one together. ]

Uh.

[ He wants to say 'bring Allison too', but then, the three of them haven't all been together since that memory altering event - the event which Scott will never admit to be extremely happy about (in a perfect world, he guesses). He supposes it was a momentary thing and he should be glad for what he was given, understanding that it won't happen again. Allison needed space and he gave her space. The last time they really talked was when they were out searching for Stiles - before then, at the hellhound event when Scott dropped a certain "L" word, he's surprised hasn't bitten him in the ass yet. He and Allison aren't good. They aren't - anything, they're nothing, right? She'd probably say no, which is worse than not asking at all. ]

Yeah, yes. Definitely. I'll be there.

[ He grins brighter, nodding his head a bit. Give Stiles a chance to sleep in his bed for once while they knock out on the gaming sofa - he can't think of anything that sounds closer to heaven, other than if Allison were there too. ]

See you then! Have fun, and tell Allison I say hi.

[ OOPS JUST REVEALED HIS STALKER TENDENCIES hanging up with a hasty wave. ]

Yes and no. There were a lot of jerks in town. But I've moved around a lot, and South Carolina actually feels like home.

[ why, weres are so yesterday in the enchanted forest. he might make a fine coat out of him though. ]

Thank you. [ he moves closer to the camera, as if to share something important. ] Though I must say, if you will allow me, your complimenting skills could use more work, mate.

[ "a cool touch"? really. ]

Yep. Four months.

[Sometimes it feels like so much longer, and sometimes it feels like no time at all.]

I've had dreams with friends in them before, too, but -- we all come from different points. I mean, we all remember things leaving off differently back home.

[In a way, since it spurred so much discussion, that in itself was convincing.]

You had friends here already? [She's tempted to say 'that's good,' if only because it tends to help people adjust better, but not everyone is thrilled to see their friends it what is essentially captivity.] It makes it easier, sometimes.

I don't know if anyone is.

[ And hey, it hadn't been the worst line ]

There's probably the best hospital here.

[ Another accent, wow, he sure is hearing a lot of accents here. Isaac tilts his head only slightly before grinning. Accent and someone who actually knows how to dress. ]

Isn't that exactly what a coma dream person might say, don't you think?
