[ 002 | Video ]
I need everyone to listen closely.
[It's unusual for Angel to show his face on the network, especially if it comes to leaving a message of his own. He'll reply to people here and there, but largely, he doesn't think it's worth the effort -- phones being the invention of a bored warlock and all.
But this is different. This is urgent, and it's written all over his face, his jaw squared and his mouth set in a hard line, tense.]
Your pal Tom that started warning people over the network, apologizing for this creep from his world? Don't trust him. In fact, stay as far away from him as you can -- lock yourselves in, do whatever you have to do, but do it immediately. He's the one responsible for these murders.
[He hadn't been sure at first. He'd smelled the blood of more than one of the victims on Tom when they'd gone to investigate one of the more recent crime scenes together, but it hadn't been enough to go on -- Tom could have just gone to two or three different sites to help handle the aftermath and picked it up that way -- but then Angel himself had gone to each and every point of discovery. Every one.
And at each one, he caught the same scent. None of them belonged to this 'Harry Warden,' but each and every trail lead back to the same place.
He hadn't wanted to believe it at first, thought he had to have been mistaken, but his senses had never lead him wrong before now. People were surprising where demons and other vampires were predictable. Angel expected better from humans, admired humanity for what it was -- there were always bad apples, but even after two and a half centuries, he wasn't used to them coming in mild-mannered packages like Tom Hanniger.
Just goes to show. And yet, something about it still didn't sit right with him, like it couldn't possibly be as cut and dry as Tom lying, but there's no time for him to try and pick that apart now. What matters is keeping people away from him, getting Tom contained somehow and keeping him from doing any more harm than he already has.]
Every one of these crimes leads back to him. There is no Harry Warden, that story is nothing but a decoy.
Do not try to go after him on your own. He might be human, but that means he's unpredictable-- this guys is killing like he's got nothing to lose. Get yourselves somewhere safe, each and every one of you. Arm yourselves if you have to, just in case.
This will be over soon. I promise.
[He plans to see to that personally.]

[It's not even a question - it's the hard realization that Tom's the one who came after him with a pickaxe, Tom's the one who attacked all those people, and Tom's the one who killed Souji and Martha and Charlie and so many others.
James has since been healed by Minato and is finally able to really give the network some attention, and this is what he's met with. He can't just leave it alone, but when he replies he's pale and horrified.]
...You're serious. It was Tom, this whole time?
[He has to ask, but it looks like he's not having trouble believing it. It's all adding up with what he already knows - Tom's future self didn't want Jo getting involved. His own future self had gotten in a fist fight with him even though present Tom seemed...quiet. Normal.
There didn't seem to be a reason for it then, but James certainly wants to punch him in the face now. Of course he wouldn't want anyone getting involved. He wanted it to happen. He wanted to keep everyone from interfering. He wanted to be able to get away with it, even though there were tons of people from the future who knew it was going to happen. He was covering his tracks, making sure everyone would believe him.
And he had. James had believed it, when Jo told him.
He had trusted Tom, and Tom turned around and murdered their friends, while acting like he was the one trying to stop it all.
That confusion and shock morphs very quickly - his face reddens and James looks like he's never been more furious in his entire life.]

Angel seems to be as in control now as he had been then, taking charge of the situation in much the same way that Dean did. The difference being that Angel's gotten to the bottom of this mystery already.
It's something that Castiel's already suspected, due to having it hinted at back during Christmas time. Nonetheless, it's both good and bad to have it confirmed. Castiel thinks of Jo, of what this is going to do to her, but right now he has to focus on stopping Tom.]
Are you going after him?
[Castiel doesn't see much reason to listen to any of those warnings. A human can't kill him, plain and simple. If anyone should be sticking his neck out, it's an angel -- and perhaps, a vampire.]

And oh, how he frowns at that. True, Tom is wearing Dean's face, but judging by the conversation they had he must have some good traits, too. That need to leave home behind. Philip thinks his reasons are flawed, but the sentiment hits too close to home. And this? Something about this brings back a familiar lurch in his stomach too... ]
What makes you think any of that?

[He knows Tom. Not well, but he's part of the resistance; he's on their side.]
[He remembers how there was something...familiar about the miner. Just slightly. Just enough to stick in Kid's head.]
Your sure?

He's no stranger to being half out of his mind with no sleep and too much adrenaline, but days of having a killer on the loose, not knowing what's going to happen... It leaves Adam loopy, fingers white-knuckled around the phone.]
So... it wasn't an event. [He's compelled to speak up, even if his Mirror is the one who really knows this guy. Tom had called it his event. The evil he'd brought. He'd even apologized. Who to believe? Tom? Angel? Neither?] How? How'd he do it?
[It's not the question he really wants an answer to, but it's the one that comes out.]

It seems that the default stance might be to be out for blood, and on some level, the Doctor wouldn't say no to his own form of revenge for everyone he's killed or hurt, but then again, there's others with more claims to that than him, even if he were of a vengeful mind.
As it stands, he's really not, although that doesn't mean he isn't angered by the whole affair. ]

[ And what will you do? She doesn't know him, nor any of them well enough to know already what will happen but for this... it has to be whatever is necessary. Is there a way to truly hold someone here? To permanently stop them? There was at home, she'd had it used on her before but that wasn't an option here. Hopefully they knew something just as good ]

So, our little girlfriend stealing clone is the killer?
[ She might look a little impressed, because he wasn't even on her list of 'Who's Got a Murder Boner". It's a mental list and made more out of boredom than any real need to investigate and help. ]
How'd you crack the case, Sherlock?
