[ she's been missing for a month. cora doesn't know it for certain, but she can sense something is different about wonderland. it's the smell, the way the leaves crunched differently beneath her feet when she walked out of the woods earlier that day. she can't quite put her finger on what's different, but she knows that the world she had left behind earlier that morning (five weeks ago) has somehow shifted on its axis. ]
[ however, despite her suspicions, cora's not going to bother with the pleasantries. nor is she going to bother to ask. she doesn't do network posts — doesn't see the purpose in them — but she'd been out for a run in the woods. she'd gone out in hopes of pushing herself out of her negative headspace, but has only seemed to dive further in it. ]
Throw a dog a bone.
Anyone know any good jokes? Could use a couple. My brother doesn't smile much and it'd be nice to see him :) for once.
Or :D if I'm lucky.
[ ha ha. something is off and perhaps it's because derek hale has learnt how to smile. ]

[ cora wonders how any day passes and stiles doesn't elicit some sort of laughter from someone. she doesn't think she's ever laughed this much in her life — even at jokes that are so simple. she does doubt that derek wouldn't not laugh if stiles had said it, but she appreciates the message between the lines. ]
Followed a hare down a hole. Guess I shouldn't have done that.
I went for a run, so you can say I lost my way for a bit.
text;
i vote isaac, personally
his hair looks like it could use a spin cycle :P
[ He's so relieved. Cora's okay. ]
yeah, yeah you know
that's kind of the whole point of wonderland
as long as you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven i think we can forgive that :)
(remind me to tell you that story sometime, if scott doesn't kill me for spilling it)
everything still pretty much the same as when you uh
ran off
so you know
lots of death and murder and weird events
text;
[ she thinks of commenting on isaac's hair, but stiles has said two magic words, hence why this text is shorter and lacking in emotes to match his. his sense of humour is a great distraction when she wants one. but now? not so much. spill the details, gossip girl. ]
Lots of death ...
Outside pack, I hope.
[ she swears to god if one of them died again she's going to throw some bricks. ]
text;
cora had a lot to catch up on.
he taps his fingers against his keyboard for a second before responding--he hates to be the bearer of bad news, but. ]
come on man this is our lives you know it's not gonna go like that
lots to update you on.
like.
lots
welcome back wolfgirl :)
text;
Doesn't hurt to hope. We've stuck around this long.
Ignore that I got lost.
[ i've stuck around this long. hales don't get happily ever afters — or happiness. doesn't stiles know that? the uncle she remembers has been blasted to bits by the selfish stranger who lingers in the loft derek and she call home. to be in wonderland for so long (if she disregards all the deaths and weird things that have shaken them up), it's a miracle — and a good thing. and definitely not the way life goes. ]
text;
[ cora is still terrifying ]
you know that's kind of impossible, right?
you've been gone for forever
derek thought you were back home
[ and he was crushed. stiles doesn't blame him--to have a little shred of your family and then to lose it? it must be horrific. stiles thinks about his mom and tries to pretend it's not so similar, and he sighs. ]
there was a serial killer you missed
so objectively, you definitely picked a good time to piss out
text;
Glad I missed it. But not if it cost you one of your stupid lives.
[ because you guys are stupid for dying all the time! she thinks of just ignoring the whole "derek thought you went back home and cried like a little bitch", but it upsets her to think that she's let any of them down because she went for a run and got caught in some weird air pocket. ]
How long was I gone?
Don't say "forever".
[ also none of you are stupid. she takes that back. ]
