[ she's been missing for a month. cora doesn't know it for certain, but she can sense something is different about wonderland. it's the smell, the way the leaves crunched differently beneath her feet when she walked out of the woods earlier that day. she can't quite put her finger on what's different, but she knows that the world she had left behind earlier that morning (five weeks ago) has somehow shifted on its axis. ]
[ however, despite her suspicions, cora's not going to bother with the pleasantries. nor is she going to bother to ask. she doesn't do network posts — doesn't see the purpose in them — but she'd been out for a run in the woods. she'd gone out in hopes of pushing herself out of her negative headspace, but has only seemed to dive further in it. ]
Throw a dog a bone.
Anyone know any good jokes? Could use a couple. My brother doesn't smile much and it'd be nice to see him :) for once.
Or :D if I'm lucky.
[ ha ha. something is off and perhaps it's because derek hale has learnt how to smile. ]

It did. We had an event where everything broke apart and we were floating on pieces of the mansion up in the air.
[text]
Literally?

[text]
Didn't see any floating bits of mansion in the woods, though. That's weird?

Just never experienced anything like this before. When you take off, it's not like you go to another world altogether.
It's not like going from home to here. You go to another state, you still hear about everything else.

But lets stay out of tunnels for the rest of our lives.
I'm okay with spending more time walking around the tunnel than cutting the time short and going through it.

If you ever want to avoid an event, go out into the woods. That's how I missed a few.
[ LAME JOKE. TRY HARDER, CORA.</SMALL. ]

[text] my html fail up there is just a trick played by your imagination ...
And not with the sound of music.
[ it's a strange thought, thinking wonderland's an active participant in all the shit that goes down. usually it's the characters involved in the stories that are. but what if it isn't? she doubts one of the queens had isolated her in a pocket of slow-moving time. ]
You think that's a possibility?
[text] oh of course, of course
I think so. There's some kind of energy over on the Mirror's side. I don't know much about it, but I heard that in a possible version of our future, that energy gets drained. People stop coming back to life when they die, so that thing, whatever it is, can resurrect us.
[text]
Hopefully Wonderland opens up a hole and lets us go home before that happens. Kind of like the idea of resurrection.
[ since derek dies all the fucking time making her nightmares come true. but cora doesn't think about what returning home means for anyone. lets keep it surface level, here. ]
[text]
[Especially since Future!Tom told her she'll die in the Jabberwocky attack.]
